| #1ErithmuApr 22, 2009 22:39:06 | This is a separate Fight Thread for Arcane Initiates vs The Eagle Eye Twins, If you are not whitebaron (no caps), lonewolf (no caps), or Erithmu (one cap) please do not post here. Arcane Initiates
|
| #2ErithmuApr 22, 2009 22:44:52 | Lonewolf ... what is your Utility 2 power for the twins? Initiates You start in the SW box Init: Argor 19 Lyta 14 |
| #3lonewolfApr 23, 2009 2:20:56 | ups, missed that. Its Yield Ground Round1 movement Start with bows out and double move out. |
| #4whitebaronApr 23, 2009 10:24:37 | general movement idea lyta will move out in front, so readied actions aim for her. she will move so she gains concealment before the readied actions can hit her. both will do active perception checks each round. move out counter-clockwise, towards the middle. since argor is slower, lyta will move slower as well. once found, wait for new orders. ![]() |
| #5ErithmuApr 23, 2009 17:10:55 | whitebaron Do you want to open with a double move? or move + ready or move + ??? |
| #6lonewolfApr 23, 2009 17:24:22 | actions at the start of round 2, Finrod will do an active perception check. movement depends on if he hears something and what he hears with that active perception as well as with passive perception during round 1. If both twins dont hear anything, just move to the corner and ready a Twin shot on sight. |
| #7whitebaronApr 24, 2009 9:18:37 | clarification no readies. just move out. oh, and for the record: argor should be holding a javelin, lyta her wand. |
| #8ErithmuApr 25, 2009 12:36:59 | |
| #9lonewolfApr 25, 2009 12:50:17 | actions Finrod stays in that position and ready Twin Strikes, while Finduilas continues to move towards the NE corner. Positions end of round 3: |
| #10whitebaronApr 25, 2009 14:58:41 | uh-oh i told you that lyta would go in front - but doesn't matter, lets keep them as is. argor will as of now delay behind lyta, so she actually acts first. lyta goes up 3n 1e if noone else is spotted before. if she gets hit by a ready action or sees someone, if possible go back to cover and curse, shoot frigid darkness. sorry to say this, but further actions will depend on what happened. |
| #11ErithmuApr 26, 2009 18:47:51 | observers Made a mistake in previous maps ... Lyta is in front. Finrod readies Argor delays to after Lyta Finduilas turn - see below. |
| #12lonewolfApr 26, 2009 19:47:20 | ... continues his move east, quarries Lyta and uses Twin Strike on her. |
| #13ErithmuApr 26, 2009 19:53:15 | Finduilas fires twice hitting once. Lyta takes a moment to retaliate while the ranger is in the open Whitebaron 12 dmg, Lyta is up followed by Argor due to delay. |
| #14whitebaronApr 27, 2009 10:35:35 | actions lyta curse, frigid darkness. AP, eldritch blast. move away 3 south argor move one square up, throw a javelin, draw another one, drop prone |
| #15ErithmuApr 27, 2009 15:59:35 | The Initiates make an effort to hurt the exposed ranger but Lyta's Frigid Darkness fails to take hold, She follows it up with a blast that does connect and bloodies Findiulas. Argor's Javelin bounces off Finduilas' armor. The dragonborn then drops prone to the ground, as Lyta retreats behind him. Finrod then Finduilas lonewolf Finduilas 17/35hp (18 dmg) |
| #16lonewolfApr 27, 2009 16:27:30 | actions Finrod continues to ready. Finduilas quarries Argor, uses Twin strike on him and moves 3E 2N. |
| #17ErithmuApr 27, 2009 20:22:11 | Findluilas takes two shots at Argor and hits once causing a decent wound in the dragonborn. He then skirts behind cover and out of sight whitebaron Argor 26/41 Lyta then Argor |
| #18whitebaronApr 28, 2009 10:51:06 | actions this is for the next few rounds. argor stand up, move left, sunder the grates. lyta go there as well, port through with her utility power, and stand where she can see in the tunnel on top of the grate, right side , hidden behind cover, and ready eldritch blast. i don't plan on going somewhere near to him without cover - stupid sneaky play, really annoying, especially in a sep. thread fight. ah, and yes - both take second wind before the sundering. |
| #19ErithmuApr 28, 2009 11:04:07 | whitebaron Round 4: Single move + Second Wind on both |
| #20lonewolfApr 28, 2009 11:24:57 | actions Finrod moves 5W and peeks around the corner. If he sees an enemy quarry and Twin strike. Otherwise ready Twin Strike on sight. Finduilas will take his second wind and move towards the southeastern corner of the middle area. |
| #21ErithmuApr 28, 2009 12:00:37 | lonewolf Finrod doesn't see anything but waits. Finduilas confirm this path before I tell you what you see or don't see. |
| #22lonewolfApr 28, 2009 12:01:06 | path confirmed |
| #23ErithmuApr 28, 2009 12:16:16 | lonewolf They are not at the corner, you see nothing |
| #24whitebaronApr 28, 2009 14:33:16 | ok, now i'm really upset. this kind of fight is useless. the sewer map favors ranged strikers even more than the small arena. there's no way anyone can close in, especially with that terrain, without getting killed first. when playing against brag and halo, the hide and run pbp tactics were already annoying. but this is really like running with a knife against a cannon. lyta+argor go back to my starting area and wait there. yes, i am upset, and yes i do intend to wait for him there. |
| #25ErithmuApr 28, 2009 15:00:59 | Finrod watches as both Argor and Lyta pass the hallway and seem to head back to the starting area. Finrod and Finduilas are up. |
| #26lonewolfApr 28, 2009 15:34:02 | I just wanna say that Im not gonna stop using effective tactics out of fear that my opponent could get annoyed by them. Sorry, but this is a competitive arena... actions So he retreats and wants to force me to come to him. Fine. double move until the twins are at position 1(or he shows his face again) Then in the same round move stealthy to position 2 quarry if necessary and open fire, Finrod first. Start with Twofanged strikes while I have the Combat advantage and use elven reroll. Check with me after those attacks. |
| #27ErithmuApr 28, 2009 15:39:33 | lonewolf Position 1 & 2? ... not sure what you mean ... do you mean start boxes or where you were are standing? |
| #28whitebaronApr 28, 2009 15:40:15 | I just wanna say that Im not gonna stop using effective tactics out of fear that my opponent could get annoyed by them. Sorry, but this is a competitive arena... ok, have it your way then. i'll resign and refuse to play any seperate thread fight against your striker teams. |
| #29lonewolfApr 28, 2009 15:46:46 | @Erithmu: I forgot to add the map that would have explained what I meant. But it doesnt seem to matter anyway... |
| #30ErithmuApr 28, 2009 16:19:21 | Sigh .... Results posted. |
| #31lonewolfApr 28, 2009 17:01:22 | thanks for running anyway |
