| #2salrantolMay 27, 2009 22:34:34 | Eternal Glory You start in the south box. |
| #3LinkNMay 27, 2009 22:52:01 | |
| #4whitebaronMay 28, 2009 1:43:22 | lalala bull with maul, boar with nothing, start front center and move towards the center. |

| #6LinkNMay 28, 2009 13:14:29 | |
| #7whitebaronMay 28, 2009 16:11:11 | glory any reason why i just single moved? i wanted to be in the center by now. circle the center, searching for opponents. stay put if i see noone, or - stay put if i am out of range to reach them - or wait for the precise attack to be used (most likely thornwhip and maybe howling or goring charge. ) |
| #8salrantolMay 28, 2009 17:26:47 | Eternal Glory any reason why i just single moved? i wanted to be in the center by now. start front center and move towards the center. You didn't say to double walk, you just said move. If you want to double walk, you should say so. In fact, for greatest precision, you should use the mapper. I will update it above. If that changes your plans for this round, please say so. |

| #10LinkNMay 30, 2009 1:37:21 | Stalkers Can I get you to roll up stealth and perception checks for Sethala in round 2? |
| #11whitebaronMay 30, 2009 3:24:22 | boar moves 3 W and readies thornwhip on the first enemy he sees. (pull closer towards bull) |

| #14salrantolMay 30, 2009 12:42:46 | Boar autospots Aventhressa and attempts a Thorn Whip. [18-2Co vs. Fort 10, Hit] Sehanine's Stalkers Aventhressa takes 8 damage. She is at 15 HP. Any change to actions? |
| #15whitebaronMay 30, 2009 12:46:40 | don't forget: avanthressa is forced 2 squares towards boar. map after forced movement: |
| #16salrantolMay 30, 2009 12:48:59 | That is correct. My apologies for the mistake. |
| #17LinkNMay 30, 2009 18:46:15 | Stalkers I should have 2 movement left, so continue to the next stop. Minor action to use Darkfire on Boar (it's mis-labeled as Cloud of Darkness on my character sheet). If it hits, Sly Flourish on him at range. If it misses, double-move to the last stop on the map, and stealth. Edit: Just read your reply on the boards, so I'm assuming you won't run it that way. In which case, move as such if Darkfire misses (still Sly Flourish if it hits): |
| #18salrantolMay 30, 2009 20:44:59 | Sehanine's Stalkers You actually don't have movement left, because a readied action is an immediate reaction, and can only happen at the end of an action. Look at the map I posted of your movement and you'll see that you continued from the autospot square to the end of your posted movement before being attacked. The pull could still move you to the same square whitebaron posted, so I didn't correct his map. Still, with speed 7, you can reach the square you wanted to reach on another movement anyway. |
| #19LinkNMay 30, 2009 20:50:27 | Rules Check what I posted in the Fight of the Week thread, actually. Also, being a drow, Aventhressa has a speed of 6, not 7. Oh, and: stealth check, please. |
| #20salrantolMay 30, 2009 20:59:49 | Sehanine's Stalkers Also, being a drow, Aventhressa has a speed of 6, not 7. Bah, for some reason, despite having run multiple fights for them, I *still* can't tell Sethala and Aventhressa apart without having their sheets open. And the I thought the Stealth check was already in the roller, but it was Stealth and Perception for Sethala. |

| #24salrantolJun 01, 2009 5:44:16 | Sethala moves into the open. She declares Boar her quarry and fires two arrows at him. [Two-Fanged Strike: 17-2Co=15 vs. AC 17, Miss; 23-2Co=21 vs. AC 17, Hit; Elven Accuracy: 18-2Co=16 vs. AC 17, Miss] Not content with those results, she fires two more. Boar is bloodied. [20! vs. AC 17, Hit;21-2=19 vs. AC 17, Hit] Eternal Glory Boar takes 11 damage. He is at 19 HP. He then takes 11 and 7 damage. He is at 1 HP. |
| #25whitebaronJun 01, 2009 5:57:22 | either you missed it, or linkn missed it - there is no quarry in the roller. (if linkn missed it, well, bad luck, to late. :D) boar second wind + thornwhip on sethala. (pull diagonally closer if it hits |
| #26salrantolJun 01, 2009 6:10:35 | Boar catches his breath and lashes out at Sethala with thorns, pulling her towards him. Sethala is bloodied. Boar moves out of sight. [Second Wind][Thorn Whip: 20! vs. Fort 11, Hit] Eternal Glory Boar regains 7 HP. He is at 8 HP. He moved as requested. |
| #27LinkNJun 01, 2009 6:54:07 | Yes, use AP and Twin Strike. |
| #28salrantolJun 01, 2009 13:00:03 | Updated for Sethala's AP above. Any changes, whitebaron? |
| #29whitebaronJun 01, 2009 13:05:13 | yep, add movement to Show 1S ![]() |
| #30salrantolJun 01, 2009 13:10:12 | Updated above. Aventhressa is up. |
| #31LinkNJun 01, 2009 17:11:23 | Can I know which direction Boar was heading when he vanished? (i.e. what his last known position was? Unless he just moved 1 square south, Sethala would have seen him move at least one square.) |
| #32salrantolJun 01, 2009 17:33:20 | Bah, I updated the map too, but I guess I forgot to post the updated map. Updating now. |
| #33salrantolJun 01, 2009 17:46:35 | Aventhressa moves out. She and Bull spot each other. Any changes to the rest of Aventhressa's actions? |
| #34LinkNJun 01, 2009 20:29:45 | Tactics One thing I'd like to point out: Aventhressa does have cover from Bull (maybe superior cover, as the lines go across the corner of the wall; don't know if that counts as blocked or not), which means he doesn't see her unless she has a low enough stealth check (which I can't check for myself, as they're all private). He also has superior cover from her, so the reverse is also true: unless Aventhressa had a high enough Perception check, Bull should still be hidden. Anyway. If Bull really is hidden, then tactics should remain unchanged as, technically, there is no difference from the start of my turn. If Aventhressa does see where Bull is, however, double-move as such and make another Stealth check: |
| #35salrantolJun 01, 2009 20:42:45 | Sehanine's Stalkers One thing I'd like to point out: Aventhressa does have cover from Bull (maybe superior cover, as the lines go across the corner of the wall; don't know if that counts as blocked or not), which means he doesn't see her unless she has a low enough stealth check (which I can't check for myself, as they're all private). He also has superior cover from her, so the reverse is also true: unless Aventhressa had a high enough Perception check, Bull should still be hidden. I was very careful about this. Aventhressa failed her Stealth check last round, so she was not hidden from Bull. Therefore, she did not get to make a Stealth check against him this round, as she did not have total cover. whitebaron had specified in his tactics for Bull that he was deliberately not being stealthy, so you spot him. You complete your move as requested, shown is the limit of Bull's perception. |
| #36LinkNJun 01, 2009 21:02:52 | Salrantol Noted. As I stated before, I'm just cautious, it seems like I've been doing bad with the whole stealth thing for most of the match. Granted, they do have perception mods higher than my stealth mods (after the -5 movement penalty), but still, just confirming. Although I really do wish that the stealth rolls aren't privatized... |
| #37salrantolJun 01, 2009 21:58:06 | LinkN Although I really do wish that the stealth rolls aren't privatized... I don't want people metagaming based on "Oh, I know I beat his Perception, so I can be sure I get a sneak attack or Predator's Eye or whatever." They *should* be unsure as to whether they are hidden. |
| #38whitebaronJun 02, 2009 9:23:10 | bull &boar move and howling charge sethala if she survives, AP and bloodletting since boar will be up next, either double move as shown, or single move and use thorn whip. |
| #39salrantolJun 02, 2009 11:40:03 | Eternal Glory move and howling charge sethala It looks like you meant to post a map, but it's not there. Waiting on map to post. |
| #40whitebaronJun 02, 2009 11:43:26 | ah, shoot. |
| #41salrantolJun 02, 2009 12:00:14 | Bull moves out to find Sethala and charges her. [Howling Strike: 11+1chg=12 vs. AC 18, Miss] Dissatisfied with the results, he tries another tack. [13 vs. AC 18, Miss] Sethala is up. |
| #42salrantolJun 02, 2009 12:06:30 | And, as a reminder, since today is the deadline day, I'll need tactics from both of you if the fight is not done by 3PM CDT (which is 3 hours from my previous post exactly if you're uncertain). Thank you. |
| #43whitebaronJun 02, 2009 12:22:15 | tactics that's easy. active perception checks. thornwhip/howling strike on whoever is visible. on boars second thought - move boar as far up as he can go with a single move on his previous route - since av can get a no cover shot anyways. |
| #44LinkNJun 02, 2009 15:46:04 | |
| #45salrantolJun 02, 2009 16:26:51 | Sethala delcares Bull her quarry and uses Nimble Strike to shift away from him. [16+1PS=17 vs. AC 15, Hit] She then walks away farther. Eternal Glory Bull takes 13 damage. He is at 25 HP |
| #46salrantolJun 02, 2009 16:38:12 | Aventhressa tries to use Deft Strike for sneak attack, but discovers that Boar heard her coming. It ends up not mattering, as Boar is still dying. [20-2rng=18 vs. AC 17, Hit] Eternal Glory Boar takes 9 damage. He is at -1 HP. |
| #47salrantolJun 02, 2009 16:52:19 | Aventhressa tries a Dazing Strike on Boar. [16 vs. AC 15, Hit] She then walks away. Bull readies a Howling charge. Boar fails a death save. Aventhressa reappears, chock full of daggery death. Bull is bloodied. [27+2CA-2Co=27 vs. AC 15, Hit] Bull charges. [13 vs. AC 17, Miss] Eternal Glory Bull takes 14 damage. He is at 11 HP. |
| #48whitebaronJun 02, 2009 16:54:30 | just one question: since it does not make any sense, why did bull not ready a charge when he was dazed instead of a perception check on an enemy he knows will be there again? |
| #49salrantolJun 02, 2009 16:56:01 | Aventhressa shifts and tries a Sly Flourish. [21 vs. AC 15, Hit] Eternal Glory Bull takes 12 damage. He is at -1 HP. |
| #50LinkNJun 02, 2009 17:00:57 | just one question: since it does not make any sense, why did bull not ready a charge when he was dazed instead of a perception check on an enemy he knows will be there again? Despite this move hurting my chances, I agree with whitebaron; that does seem like an odd move. |
| #51salrantolJun 02, 2009 17:02:27 | Correcting the above. Since Bull was dazed, he had nothing to gain from beating Aventhressa's Stealth. The intention was to avoid an ugly CA-induced death, but since he gave CA anyway, no point. Edit: Plus it was the number 1 item in wb's tactics or I wouldn't have even considered it. |
| #52salrantolJun 02, 2009 17:17:09 | Adjusted. It ended up not mattering since my dice decided to hate whitebaron instead of LinkN this week, today especially. Maybe I shouldn't have carved "Howling Strike sucks" where the 20 was supposed to be? |
| #53LinkNJun 02, 2009 17:23:51 | Heh... your dice didn't really hate anyone this weekGlory Just seems like my high rolls were when I needed them most, and his were when it didn't matter a whole lot, I guess. On a side note: 2d8+1d6+4 damage, on an at-will that doesn't have any special requirements? Sheesh, Aventhressa can't even do that when she's using Sneak Attack... |
| #54whitebaronJun 02, 2009 17:43:36 | well, this won't happen next time. ;) 20-18-19 in rapid succession - superior positioning on the opening of the fight could not work against that final outburst. ![]() as for the at-will. well, that's what large mauls do. 2d8. good damage, but only +2 proficiency also gets sometimes problematic, like that one time, against that metal tin (paladin) ... |
| #55LinkNJun 02, 2009 18:26:14 | Still, your average damage with that thing is 16.5, and has no special conditions. Aventhressa's Sly Flourish with CA is only 17.5 average, and requires that she get CA somehow (either a flanking partner or stealth; main reason why I switched her to drow), otherwise it's only a measly 10.5. |
| #56whitebaronJun 02, 2009 18:50:56 | (you'd better not look at the bloodhunt crit value, then. :D) |
