| #1TelinArthoApr 22, 2009 10:04:20 | Please don't edit the sheet after the deadline or you will lose the match. Rules of Sagaris All that you need to know is written in the [post=18116720]Rules of Sagaris[/post]. It could be useful also to give a look to the [POST=16408482]Court Decisions[/POST] Pairings GM TelinArtho will pair the active Characters of Sagaris after the deadline. The Character Roster will be the second post of this thread. Make sure that your character is not in [thread=1064195]prison[/thread]. Pitlording You should use the CoCo Dice Roller for the fight. If you need it, there is a nice [THREAD=551175]template[/THREAD] ready to use that will help. You could find the Battle Map Tag Generator for dynamic Maps very useful. You must post a link to your fight in this thread when it is complete. If you need a quick and dirty tool to calculate distances between two points (in 2-D or 3-D), this tool should suffice. If a fight needs to be rerun, the Pitlord has to inform me (TelinArtho). I cannot react to requests from Players because the other player and the pitlord might disagree. I have little time to read the fight and the discussion. Please keep that in mind. PMs from players with rerun requests won't have an impact. Comments & Concerns Post any comments or concerns for this weeks fights in this thread. Be kind and courteous to your fellow posters, and don't feed the pitlords. Please remember that they do hard work and consume a lot of time to let you play. Above all, have FUN! If you have questions or comments on any of the changes, please make your posts be heard in the Council of Sagaris! Pitlords Active Pitlords 3.5E Pitlords[indent]

| #42LinkNApr 25, 2009 13:28:13 | Seperate thread fight. results The Sons of the Hunt win, and gain 2 VP. Romulus spent an action point and used Jaws of the Wolf. Mephodyn spent an action point. The Tiefling Twins lose, and gain 1 VP. |
| #43post_ironicApr 25, 2009 13:35:17 | I believe that 41 damage in one attack may be a level one record for 4E CoCo. Good fight, Billiam. |
| #44LinkNApr 25, 2009 13:39:53 | I think the best part was, I rolled the damage, broke out the calculator to add it all up, then realized I forgot the quarry damage. So I'm just thinking "Eh, overkill's fun", and tossed it in. |
| #45whitebaronApr 25, 2009 19:09:47 | 1 suggestion, 1 question: a) could we rename low middle high to heroic, paragon, epic on the roster? ![]() b) do we want a rating system for 4e? since the system is new, we can still go back and calculate it for the fights that were done in the last 4 weeks. to make it easier and more reliable than the existing power-rating-system in 3.5, i was thinking about a modified elo system with only absolute power ratings to make handling it easier. |
| #46salrantolApr 26, 2009 20:23:38 | I was sure I posted this Friday, but can't seem to find it... Not for TelinArtho or lonewolf Rules question: A fighter is flanked by a fighter and a ranger. He is marked by the fighter. He uses Passing Attack, primary attack on the fighter, secondary attack on the ranger. Does the secondary attack count as a separate attack and, thus, trigger the Combat Challenge of the fighter? Or is it part of the same attack which did target the fighter and, thus, not trigger the Combat Challenge. Thanks. |
| #47post_ironicApr 26, 2009 20:56:20 | Not Telin and lonewolf Yes, the attack counts as the same one. Since the power attacks both, he does not take the modifier from being marked. The same goes for a marked character using an area attack that includes the marker but also strikes other characters. I'll try to find you a page number to substantiate this. |
| #48MindWandererBApr 26, 2009 23:16:57 | Not Telin or lonewolf I disagree. A secondary attack is a second attack. It's not an additional attack roll as part of one attack, as an area attack would be. Note the similarity to powers like Twin Strike, which explicitly say "two attacks." |
| #49whitebaronApr 27, 2009 10:38:53 | @post-ironic: mwb is right. not telin or lone only area and close attacks count as being one attack. if there are two "attack" lines, a secondary attack or something like that, you take the penalty and eventually, the hit. however, you should be able to shift out of the fighters OA reach with that power. ![]() |
| #50TelinArthoApr 27, 2009 11:12:30 | I'm not going to be adding in a Elo rating or a new powerrating for 4e - as MWB says - it is a PITA at the moment. Having a calculator for it isn't what's needed - a purpose behind it is. Powerratings for 3.5e are used only for leadership (and often not for that), and they have little meaning behind them. Unless we add in something that makes use of them - they will not be in 4e. |
