| #1TelinArthoJun 10, 2009 9:12:40 | Please don't edit the sheet after the deadline or you will lose the match. Rules of Sagaris All that you need to know is written in the [post=18116720]Rules of Sagaris[/post]. It could be useful also to give a look to the [POST=16408482]Court Decisions[/POST] Pairings GM TelinArtho will pair the active Characters of Sagaris after the deadline. The Character Roster will be the second post of this thread. Make sure that your character is not in [thread=1064195]prison[/thread]. Pitlording You should use the CoCo Dice Roller for the fight. If you need it, there is a nice [THREAD=551175]template[/THREAD] ready to use that will help. You could find the Battle Map Tag Generator for dynamic Maps very useful. You must post a link to your fight in this thread when it is complete. If you need a quick and dirty tool to calculate distances between two points (in 2-D or 3-D), this tool should suffice. If a fight needs to be rerun, the Pitlord has to inform me (TelinArtho). I cannot react to requests from Players because the other player and the pitlord might disagree. I have little time to read the fight and the discussion. Please keep that in mind. PMs from players with rerun requests won't have an impact. Comments & Concerns Post any comments or concerns for this weeks fights in this thread. Be kind and courteous to your fellow posters, and don't feed the pitlords. Please remember that they do hard work and consume a lot of time to let you play. Above all, have FUN! If you have questions or comments on any of the changes, please make your posts be heard in the Council of Sagaris! Pitlords Active Pitlords 3.5E Pitlords[indent]

| #42LinkNJun 12, 2009 14:19:40 | Thought so. Thanks, Sal. |
| #43LinkNJun 12, 2009 20:12:12 | Hey, another rule question... If you use a magic implement as an improvised melee weapon, do you get the magical properties of the implement? Say, if a warlock takes an opportunity attack and tries to whack someone over the head with his rod, will he get bonuses to attack/damage? (Or things like, crit bonuses?) |
| #44lonewolfJun 12, 2009 20:23:29 | NOW you roll a crit? ![]() As to your question: Rods cannot be used to make melee attacks. Some implements(staffs, daggers) can be used to make melee attacks and also count as magical weapons for that purpose. So Kerat´kul can only make an unarmed OA. |
| #45LinkNJun 12, 2009 20:27:47 | Alright. I still like the idea of using the rod to bash him over the head, but using it purely as an improvised weapon (i.e. no magical enhancements, 1d4 damage, no proficiency). NOW you roll a crit? Well, look on the bright side. The next attack in the roller was Gaglack's, so the crit would've been his :P |
| #46MindWandererBJun 13, 2009 16:07:31 | Rules input: At this moment, there is no cover or concealment, so no CA. However, if Aventhressa readied an action to attack on sight, then if Wrogan fails his own Stealth check, she can see him while she still has cover from him. I don't know why he'd get an extra square of movement between the trigger and its reaction. |
| #47whitebaronJun 14, 2009 12:01:20 | mwb is right, the trigger is spotting. as for the quest: this is why i SPECIFICALLY asked you, telin, whether i can go on a quest since post_ironic has not completed editing the fight. he did not notify the thread in any way, @telin: ok for you, if i just edit my character sheet locally and send it to douglas, and update it in the characters thread once post_ironic is done with the fight-updates? post_ironic has not done any edit of the fight, (last date changed 4th of june) and there are no further rolls in the roller used (last date was 4th of june). i usually do not have problems with losing, but this fight was just very poorly run. argor drops due to a math error (he still has hps left), and many attacks have been made from to far away. @mwb: sorry for the troubles, but i really thought the edits would be done by this weeks deadline. |
| #48LinkNJun 14, 2009 13:26:48 | Well, if keeping MWB from joining new fights while Whitebaron is able to quest is a problem, I think the easiest solution would be to just rule that Whitebaron's quest actually started in the first week that his team is able to fight (i.e., if post_ironic finishes the fight this week, his quest "starts" next week), and he's "questing" for 4 weeks after that. In that case however, I think it would be justified to give both teams something as compensation (extra VP? Credits?). On a related note, I would be willing to try and pick up the fight if post_ironic doesn't get to it, pending approval from the fighters and either post himself or Telin. (I would need a new list of complaints from someone though, so I don't have to worry about digging through Fight of the Week threads.) |

Nah, too obvious, we can't do that. |
| #50post_ironicJun 14, 2009 17:24:25 | I've just gotten back into town, and will have the fight fully edited and adjusted by Monday. This should address WB's concerns. Again, my apologies, as I had attempted to update the fight sometime last week and the boards evidently ate it. |
| #51whitebaronJun 14, 2009 17:56:53 | credits issue: june 4th lists me with 42 credits. (+2) june 11th with 34. what happened? quests don't cost 10 credits. my credit-based team was already deducted in april. I advise anyone to check on their credits every now and then. |
| #52TelinArthoJun 14, 2009 18:47:46 | I had just gotten an update from Erithmu with the blackmarket stuff. The credits that were spent in April - didn't get recorded until now. |
| #82whitebaronJun 18, 2009 5:09:29 | Actually - edits for a fight after it has been posted do not incur additional penalty for the pitlord. huh? so posting crap, then fixing it over the next 5 weeks is acceptable? |
| #83TelinArthoJun 18, 2009 8:11:34 | No - and I would remind you to keep things civil. Posting an honest attempt counts as submitting the fight. If there are multiple edits after the fact - then that is up to the pitlord and will not cost the pitlord additional credits. If that wasn't the case, given that pitlords decide whether or not to holdover a fight - then they would never hold over a fight. |
