| #2lonewolfApr 23, 2009 2:35:21 | Your team starts in the... Erithmu east |
| #3salrantolApr 23, 2009 5:20:54 | Yakuza! Hrrokh is holding his longbow, Syalith is holding nothing. |
| #4ErithmuApr 23, 2009 8:28:38 | Gith I'm expecting they might find me before I move |
| #5lonewolfApr 23, 2009 8:33:31 | Initiative: 18+ Hrrokh 18- Ixton 12 Sylath 3 Vaxlu Salratol No LOS |
| #6salrantolApr 23, 2009 12:41:07 | Yakuza! Walk as shown, and ready to use Twin Strike on any foe that shows up. If there's still no LoS (for either of them) when Syalith's action comes up, Syalith will walk as shown and ready to use Sly Flourish with dagger on any foe who appears within range. Remember to make Stealth checks for both. |
| #7lonewolfApr 23, 2009 17:11:13 | |
| #8salrantolApr 23, 2009 17:22:10 | Yakuza! Is that normal cover or superior cover? Either way, Hrrokh will declare him his quarry. If it's just normal cover (which it looks like, looks like the southernmost line just touches the corner near the center of the map, which doesn't count as blocking the line), then Hrrokh will use Twin Strike on the warlock. If it's superior cover, then Hrrokh will move as shown below. |
| #9lonewolfApr 23, 2009 17:32:54 | Round 1: Hrrokh moves out, finds Vaxlu, declares her as his quarry and sends two arrows into the Githyanki. Eritmu 14 damage |
| #10ErithmuApr 23, 2009 17:43:33 | Ixton Making an assumption here. Let me know if Sylath's position is not where I assume it is Move: Move as shown Std: Icy Terrain |
| #11lonewolfApr 23, 2009 17:58:38 | Ixton moves out and catches Sylath in an Icy Terrain and knocking him prone. Salratol 10 damage |
| #12salrantolApr 23, 2009 18:12:17 | Syalith Stand up [move], Cloud of Darkness [minor], Sly Flourish with hand crossbow [standard]. If he misses, AP for another Sly Flourish. |
| #13lonewolfApr 23, 2009 18:29:05 | Syalith stands up, clouds himself in a shroud of darkness and fires a bolt into Ixton. Ixton becomes bloodied. Erithmu 15 damage |
| #14ErithmuApr 23, 2009 18:35:02 | Vaxlu Minor: Curse Hrrok Move: 2NE Move: Telekenetic Leap on Ixton moving him 4W 3S |
| #15lonewolfApr 23, 2009 18:48:06 | Vaxlu curses Hrrokh, moves into cover and uses telekinetic leap on Ixton to move him into cover as well. Hrrokhs turn |
| #16salrantolApr 23, 2009 19:35:23 | Hrrokh Walk to second dot [move], use Predator's Eye [minor], and use Nimble Strike on Ixton [standard], shifting before the attack to the third dot. If it misses, action point for Twin Strike. Lest I be accused of metagaming, this is exactly what Hrrokh was going to do before Ixton hopped, after seeing where Syalith's shot disappeared. |
| #17lonewolfApr 24, 2009 6:33:12 | Round 2: Hrrokh moves towards the corner and sends 3 arrows in rapid succession at Ixton, but hits only with the last one, which is nonetheless enough to drop him. Erithmu 11 damage =>Ixton is at 0hp Ixton succeeds his death save |
| #18salrantolApr 24, 2009 12:34:27 | Yakuza! For clarification, the Icy Terrain is now gone, correct? Assuming the Icy Terrain is gone, Syalith will walk as shown and Sly Flourish Ixton with hand crossbow. Keep him down. Remember Sneak Attack (unconscious makes helpless which gives combat advantage) and -5 to all defenses (from unconsciousness, somewhat offset by +2 vs. ranged attacks from prone) and Stealth roll vs. Vaxlu. |
| #19lonewolfApr 24, 2009 13:18:18 | A crossbow bolt from Sylath comes flying from the north and kills Ixton for good. Erithmu 23 damage, Ixton is dead |
| #20ErithmuApr 24, 2009 17:15:51 | Vaxlu Move 3 S and Dire Radiance Hrrokh |
| #21lonewolfApr 24, 2009 18:11:44 | Vaxlu moves south and misses Hrrokh with a dire radiance. Hrrokhs and Sylaths turn |
| #22salrantolApr 24, 2009 18:51:00 | Yakuza! Hrrokh will point to Vaxlu and call out his position for Syalith's benefit and use Twin Strike on Vaxlu. Note that Vaxlu is Hrrokh's quarry. Syalith will move as shown. Note that he still has cover from Vaxlu, so he can remain hidden (Stealth +11 -5 vs. Perception 10), but Vaxlu does not have cover from him (check from NE corner if you don't believe me). Sly Flourish with light crossbow. |
| #23lonewolfApr 25, 2009 6:41:10 | Hrrokh sends two arrows at vaxlu, missing itwice. Sylath sneaks around the corner trying to catch Vaxlu by suprise, but the Githyanki notices him and dodges the crossbow bolt. Vaxlus turn |
| #24salrantolApr 25, 2009 8:43:34 | Is Vaxlu bloodied? |
| #25lonewolfApr 25, 2009 8:48:56 | |
| #26salrantolApr 25, 2009 9:11:38 | @lonewolf Really? He was hit in post #9 for 14 damage and in post #23 for 9 damage (damage numbers from roller), which is 23 of his 31 HP. Did I miss him using his Second Wind? He acted in post #15 with 2 move actions and a minor action and in post #21 with a move action and a standard action. Was there an action point involved somewhere? |
| #27lonewolfApr 25, 2009 9:24:09 | sorry, I missed the damage from the first round. Yes, Vaxlu is bloodied. |
| #28ErithmuApr 25, 2009 12:52:14 | Vaxlu? Hrrokh misses both times ... AC 15+2(concealment - shadow walk) +2 cover? Move 3 N ... Curse the rogue, Diabolic Grasp ... (slide 2SW if hits) If it hits I may action point. |
| #29lonewolfApr 25, 2009 17:16:01 | I forgot to include Vaxlus concealment from shadow walk, so both arrows missed and Vaxlu is not bloodied. Vaxlu moves north, curses Syalith and hits with a diabolic grasp, sliding the rogue away and bloodying him. Salratol 14 damage do Syalith |
| #30ErithmuApr 26, 2009 18:41:09 | Vaxlu Yes: Second Wind I should have concealment again HP = 24/31? |
| #31lonewolfApr 27, 2009 9:04:02 | Erithmu done and correct |
| #32salrantolApr 27, 2009 12:55:47 | |
| #33lonewolfApr 27, 2009 17:04:40 | Hrrokh moves out, shoots two arrows at Vaxlu but misses both times. Syalith bases Vaxlu and tries to use positioning strike on him but also misses. Vaxlus turn |
| #34ErithmuApr 27, 2009 20:25:36 | Vaxlu Vaxlu moves 4S (take the OA) Dire Radiance the Rogue Do I have both cursed or just the rogue? |
| #35lonewolfApr 27, 2009 20:42:54 | Vaxlu moves away, dodging a Opportunity Attack and hits Sylaith with a Dire Radiance, downing him. Salratol 11 damage to Sylaith |
| #36salrantolApr 27, 2009 21:13:51 | |
| #37lonewolfApr 28, 2009 5:23:14 | @Salratol: +5 for the attacks was correct: +6 base -2 cover +1 Prime shot Hrrokh moves around the corner, shoots two arrows at Vaxlu, hits once and bloodies her. Vaxlu is up |
| #38ErithmuApr 28, 2009 9:50:31 | Vaxlu Curse and Attack w/ Dire Radiance at +2 (Improved Fate of the Void) Move basically 2 West around the corner ... so if he moves to see me he takes the extra damage. |
| #39lonewolfApr 28, 2009 12:00:31 | Vaxlu curses Hrrokh and hits him with Dire Radiance. Then he moves around the corner. last known position is 28/13. Salratol 8 damage to Hrrokh. Dont miss the potential for extra damage if Hrrokh moves closer towards Vaxlu |
| #40salrantolApr 28, 2009 12:14:05 | Hrrokh Move as far along the path as shown without moving nearer to Vaxlu (i.e. if Vaxlu is in 27, 13, stop at third dot; if in 27, 14, follow whole path). The path should give me unblocked LoS to every space Vaxlu could reach with a walk action before I might inadvertently move closer. Hit Vaxlu with a Twin Strike. |
| #41lonewolfApr 28, 2009 13:50:58 | Hrrokh also moves around the corner while keeping his distance to Vaxlu and sends two arrows at him, hitting once. Erithmu 3 damage |
| #42ErithmuApr 28, 2009 14:28:51 | Vaxlu Alright ... play for the win Use the Daily power and gain the temp hp ... then base him (I think I deal curse damage here.) That should auto deal 2d6+4 |
| #43lonewolfApr 28, 2009 15:14:15 | Vaxlu uses Armor of Agathys and bases Hrrokh, hurting him as he starts to act. He becomes bloodied. Salratol 5 cold damage. Hrrokh is at 12hp. |
| #44ErithmuApr 28, 2009 15:19:18 | Nevermind Looked in the update ... missed it when I looked. |
| #45salrantolApr 28, 2009 16:31:02 | Yakuza! End it. I think Vaxlu has fewer HP remaining than the average damage of one quarried hit. Twin Strike ftw. Pretty sure I get Prime Shot ;) :P |
| #46lonewolfApr 28, 2009 17:08:20 | Hrrokh stays close and shoots two arrows point blank at Vaxlu but misses both times. Vaxlus turn |
| #47ErithmuApr 28, 2009 17:12:57 | Point blank to the death ... sounds good ... Eldritch blast at point blank vs Twin strike at point blank sounds good to me. |
| #48salrantolApr 28, 2009 17:14:31 | @lonewolf: Your dice suck. :headexplo |
| #49lonewolfApr 28, 2009 17:20:27 | Vaxlu retaliates with an eldritch blast, but also misses. But his frozen armor continues to drain Hrrokh. Salratol 8 damage from Armor of Agathys. Hrrokh is down to 4. |
| #50salrantolApr 28, 2009 17:22:37 | Gotta play the odds, even with your dice. No way to get far enough away that he can't kamikaze run-blitz me and still get attacks off, so toe-to-toe is the way to go. Twin Strike ftw, take 2. |
| #51lonewolfApr 28, 2009 17:28:57 | Hrrokh shoots twice, hits once and doesnt come close to removing the temporary hp from Armor of Agathys. He dies from minimum armor of Agathys damage next round. sorry for the poor dice Salratol |
| #52ErithmuApr 28, 2009 17:33:11 | I think Salrantol missed that I got 13 temp HP from the armor ... |
| #53salrantolApr 28, 2009 17:36:37 | I'm not really as mad as :headexplo, but it's been a bad week for all of my important die rolls. And, once again: Syalith d20: 11 rolls, 7.2 average d12: 1 rolls, 1 average Ixton d20: 3 rolls, 16 average d6: 1 rolls, 6 average Although, I'm not conceding defeat at this point, since shouldn't Hrrokh's first attack have hit as well? Vaxlu's AC is 15, and he hit 15. No movement = no concealment. That's another d12 of damage, anything can happen. :D |
| #54lonewolfApr 28, 2009 17:38:41 | I rolled the extra damage: 1![]() but yeah, with the temp hp from Armor of Agathys, it wouldnt have mattered anyway. |
| #55salrantolApr 28, 2009 17:43:17 | Wow, way to redeem those dice. Rolling 2d12 in the last round, and getting 2. [Please note sarcasm. I'm not as upset as I "sound."] Congratulations, Erithmu. You were aided by lonewolf's dice, but you did fight very well. You chose the right time to use your daily and it won it for you. |
| #56salrantolApr 28, 2009 17:45:45 | I think Salrantol missed that I got 13 temp HP from the armor ... Not "missed" per se, but "forgot to account for it in figuring out how long it'd take me to kill you." I wouldn't have done anything differently, since I couldn't outrun your automatic damage. At best, I could've sacrificed one attack a round to deny you one attack per round, and I'm holding a bigger weapon. |
| #57ErithmuApr 28, 2009 18:21:16 | I guess I figured you for an action point too ... Eitherway ... well fought ... the kill of Ixton is really starting to bug with people killing my control. But I have to say Hrrokh is SCARY! ... he will be more scary in a couple of levels ... but still .... I think if you double moved, I just double move to base you again at that point and you would have had to move and what not ... Still you had me worried enough to drop an action point and a daily. |
| #58salrantolApr 28, 2009 18:26:59 | Yeah, my only avoidance option was to Nimble Strike away and full move, so you'd have to either run or double walk to get adjacent, so I'd only have the one attack, but you wouldn't be able to get one off. And, for the record, Hrrokh had already used an action point in the encounter, or I probably would have used it. |
