| #2arealcoolcatJul 23, 2009 19:07:31 | Your team starts in the... Sjiggie northeast |
| #3sjiggieJul 23, 2009 19:32:07 | Strike Uhm... Areacoolcat the fight is in the Prison Area and you say I start in the east but does this mean the north east or south east starting area? |
| #4arealcoolcatJul 23, 2009 20:18:11 | Sjiggie Sorry, you start in the northeast. I didn't realize it was prison. I'll edit the sblocks. |
| #5salrantolJul 23, 2009 22:07:00 | Yakuza! Hrrokh is holding his longbow. Syalith is holding nothing. Assuming no contact: If Hrrokh acts before Syalith, he will delay for Syalith. Syalith will walk zero squares to hide, then open the door. If there is still no contact, he will ready a Sly Flourish with a dagger on an enemy with less than superior cover. Hrrokh will walk as shown and ready a Twin Strike on the first enemy he sees with less than superior cover. If an enemy will make an attack, I would appreciate an opportunity to interrupt with Disruptive Strike before it goes off. Thank you. [Please consider this condition in effect until Disruptive Strike is used.] |
| #6sjiggieJul 24, 2009 7:26:01 | Strike Turoth starts with his longbow in hand Athul with his rod. Athul delays for Turoth if needed and Athul will open the door step outside and ready a twin strike on the first opponent without superior cover. Athul will move as shown, make an active perception check and ready an eyebite on the first opponent without cover |
| #7arealcoolcatJul 24, 2009 13:46:55 | |
| #8salrantolJul 24, 2009 15:47:09 | Yakuza! If no contact: Syalith will delay for Hrrokh. Hrrokh will walk as shown. If he sees no one, he will ready Twin Strike on seeing a foe with less than superior cover. If and only if Hrrokh still sees no one, Syalith will move to Hrrokh's previous location and ready a Sly Flourish on seeing an enemy with less than superior cover. |
| #9sjiggieJul 24, 2009 16:26:20 | Strike Make an active perception check and ready as before |
| #10arealcoolcatJul 24, 2009 22:23:27 | |
| #11salrantolJul 24, 2009 23:54:23 | Yakuza! Continue movement as requested previously. Quarry Turoth. Twin Strike on Turoth. Assuming no change, Syalith will use Fleeting Ghost to move as shown and attempt to remain hidden. If successful, he will use Sly Flourish with dagger on Turoth. If unsuccessful, he will use Cloud of Darkness, then Sly Flourish with dagger on Turoth. Please note Hrrokh's Prime Shot and that neither foe has cover against either of the Yakuza! |
| #12arealcoolcatJul 25, 2009 1:10:21 | Pitlord and spectators only Hrrokh moves into LOS of Turoth and Athul. Hrrokh takes 6 damage from Turoth's readied Twin Strike. Hrrokh finishes his movement and quarries Turoth. Turoth takes 16 damage from Hrrokh's Twin Strike (one hit) and Hunter's Quarry. Syalith moves via Fleeting Ghost and remains hidden. Turoth takes 18 damage from Syalith's Sly Flourish sneak attack. Turoth is bloodied. Turoth 1/35, bloodied Athul 41/41 Hrrokh 29/35 Syalith 35/35 |
| #13salrantolJul 25, 2009 5:38:42 | Hrrokh can't use Disruptive Strike on that attack. Characters don't have immediate actions on their own turns. And Syalith's actions were already stated, with the condition of there being no changes. There have been no changes, so continue as directed. |
| #14sjiggieJul 25, 2009 6:12:24 | Athul's ready should also trigger |
| #15arealcoolcatJul 25, 2009 13:47:04 | I see about the immediate action. I was unaware. Sjiggie, you explicitly stated the trigger was a target without cover. Hrrokh has had cover his entire movement. I'll go back and edit this again to reflect the change in Disruptive attack. |
| #16arealcoolcatJul 25, 2009 14:24:59 | All right. Everything should be in order now. I apologize for the slow start but I am not accustomed to so much use of cover and ranger powers. Thanks for your patience. This has been a good learning experience for me. |
| #17sjiggieJul 25, 2009 18:23:42 | |
| #18arealcoolcatJul 25, 2009 19:02:41 | Pitlord and spectators only Turoth gains 8 hit points from Second Wind. Turoth moves as shown. Athul moves as shown. Athul curses Hrrokh. Hrrokh takes 14 damage from Athul's Eyebite and Warlock's Curse. Athul is invisible to Hrrokh (ESNT). Hrrokh is bloodied. Turoth 9/35, bloodied Athul 41/41 Hrrokh 15/35, bloodied Syalith 35/35 |
| #19salrantolJul 26, 2009 0:11:08 | Yakuza! Hrrokh will tell Syalith where Athul attacked from [free], take his Second Wind [standard], walk as shown [move] (allowing him to hide), and use Healing Word on himself [minor]. If Turoth makes an attack on Hrrokh, he will use Disruptive Strike. Syalith will walk as shown [move], provoking an OA from Athul, use Cloud of Darkness [minor], and use Sly Flourish in melee with a dagger on Athul [standard]. |
| #20arealcoolcatJul 26, 2009 0:45:38 | Pitlord and spectators only Hrrokh gains 8 hit points from Second Wind. Hrrokh is no longer bloodied. Hrrokh moves. Hrrokh gains 11 hit points from Healing Word. Syalith moves. Athul misses Syalith with an opportunity attack. Syalith uses Cloud of Darkness. Athul is blind. Athul takes 17 damage from Syalith's Sly Flourish sneak attack. Turoth 9/35, bloodied, +2 defenses (ESNT) Athul 41/41, invisible to Hrrokh (ESNT) Hrrokh 33/35, Athul is invisible (ESNT:Athul), +2 defenses (ESNT) Syalith 35/35 |
| #21sjiggieJul 26, 2009 6:36:49 | Strike Turoth delays for Athul, moves out of hiding and Quarry Hrrokh and attack Hrrokh with Two-Fanged Strike then spend an AP for Twin Strike. Use elven accuracy on any miss. Turoth also uses disruptive strike on the next attack made against him Athul moves out and attacks Hrrokh with Witchfire and AP for Eyebite |
| #22arealcoolcatJul 28, 2009 13:57:04 | Pitlord and spectators only Athul moves. Syalith misses Athul with an opportunity attack. Athul finishes his movement. Athul misses Hrrokh with Witchfire. Athul uses an action point to cast Eyebite. Hrrokh takes 9 damage from Athul's Eyebite. Athul is invisible to Hrrokh. Hrrokh is bloodied. Turoth moves. Turoth quarries Hrrokh. Turoth triggers Hrrokh's Disrupting Strike. Turoth takes 18 damage from Hrrokh's Disrupting Strike and Hunter's Quarry. Turoth is dying. Turoth succeeds his death save. Turoth -9/35, dying Athul 24/41 Hrrokh 24/35, +2 defenses (ESNT), Athul is invisible (ESNT: Athul) Syalith 35/35 |
| #23salrantolJul 28, 2009 14:10:57 | Hrrokh's tactics clearly state to use Disruptive Strike if Turoth attacks him, so he would not have used it on Athul, but on Turoth, so he will have that many fewer hit points, and will also take 1d6 from quarry. That may change the situation. |
| #24arealcoolcatJul 28, 2009 14:14:47 | Editing now. I read over the entire thread and missed that. I can also read corrections without the aid of boldness, caps lock, underlines, or italics, thanks. |
| #25arealcoolcatJul 28, 2009 14:59:26 | Edit is up. I have to leave for a few hours but I'll be back this evening to finish the fight. I wish I could have devoted the time and energy to make this thread better and less mistake-ridden. Next week I'll have to take a break from Pitlording. Anyway, please point out any current mistakes and tactics while I'm out. If significant changes are made after editing for any mistakes I'll ask for updated tactics. I'm going to push for this to make the deadline so you two can ready your teams for next week. Thanks for your cooperation. |
| #26sjiggieJul 28, 2009 15:01:49 | @Area, I believe Witchfire hits Hrrokh you rolled a 17 but forgot the +1 bonus from prime shot so it beats Hrrokh's Reflex making the attack a hit. This also means that Hrrokh has a -5 penalty to his attack rolls making the Disruptive strike a miss. Could you go over the round once more. Thanks |
| #27arealcoolcatJul 28, 2009 15:07:07 | Hrrokh took his second wind last turn so his defenses are at +2. Even with Prime Shot (which I did miss) Athul's attack is only 17+1=18, one short of Hrrokh's adjusted Reflex of 17+2=19. I am heading out the door now. If you can spot any further inconsistencies please voice them. |
| #28salrantolJul 28, 2009 15:42:35 | Yakuza! If the map is accurate, Athul is adjacent to Hrrokh when he makes his Witchfire attack. That means that Hrrokh would get an OA on him (unarmed: +4-2cover vs. AC, 1d4+3 damage). Probably won't matter, but every little bit of damage helps. Hrrokh shouts out Athul's location (prior to Eyebite, obviously) [free], stows his bow [minor], draws his longsword [minor], and draws his short sword [minor]. Syalith shifts as shown, using Stealth to hide, then uses Deft Strike to move as shown and attack from cover for CA with dagger. |
| #29sjiggieJul 28, 2009 19:59:34 | Strike Tactics are simple use Eyebite on Hrrokh till he goes down then Eyebite on Syalith and stay mobile for shadow walk. |
| #30XaviYagoJul 30, 2009 19:58:09 | I've volunteered to pick up this fight. Since I wasn't assigned the fight originally, I'll wait for confirmation from the two of you before starting. I see current status as this: |
| #31salrantolAug 02, 2009 19:42:30 | That looks correct to me. You should have tactics for both of us for the next round also, if I'm not mistaken. Also, check the one concern listed in the tactics post just above. |
| #32sjiggieAug 04, 2009 9:41:48 | Looks also correct to me, you can just follow the tactics I gave last time for me |
| #33MindWandererBAug 05, 2009 21:35:51 | Looks like I'm picking up this fight. Fortunately, it looks like, through an odd confluence of events, I'll only be unable to continue this for Sunday and about half of Friday. I'll do the next round ASAP, after reviewing Sal's concern. |
| #34MindWandererBAug 06, 2009 0:31:59 | Pitlord and Spectators Hrrokh misses his unarmed OA against Athul ([11]+4-2=13). Hrrokh shouts out where Athul was before he turned invisible (Free). He uses 3 minor actions to switch his equipment from longbow to longsword and shortsword. Syalith re-hides (move, [1]+12=13 but good enough) and uses Deft Strike (standard, crit, damage 21+[2]=23). Darkness ends. Turoth -9/35, unconscious and dying Athul 1/41, invisible to Hrrokh (ends right now) Hrrokh 24/35 Syalith 35/35 Checking with Sjiggie before continuing. |
| #35MindWandererBAug 10, 2009 13:07:16 | No word from Sjiggie, so going with his previous tactics. |
| #36salrantolAug 10, 2009 13:16:54 | |
| #37MindWandererBAug 10, 2009 13:56:32 | Hrrokh moves adjacent to Athul (Move) and readies to attack him on sight (Stan). Syalith walks by Athul (Move), provoking an OA from him ([4]+4=8, miss). He attacks with Sly Flourish (Stan: [4]+10=14, miss; no CA because Hrrock provides no flanking). Athul becomes visible, and Hrrokh attacks with Twin Strike ([19]+8+2=29 and [3]+7+2=12, damage [9]+1=10), ending the fight. Turoth -9/35, unconscious and dying, 1 black mark Athul -9/41 Hrrokh 18/35, cursed Syalith 35/35 Any comments before I add everything up and post the results? |
