Please submit your suggestions for names for the new continent and the new city for our 4e gladiators. (To facilitate future sub-games, the new city will be an independent city-state like Gladius is.) Please put your suggestions in bold so they're hard to miss. Also, please Google your suggestions to make sure they don't have obvious connotations outside CoCo. I can tell you from our last poll that pretty much anything will come up in Google somewhere, but as long as it's obscure, it's okay. For example, one of our entries last time was "Terisia," which was a problem because "Terisia City and Fan Fiction" is another forum here on the WotC boards. I'll allow a week for entries, after which I'll set up a poll. Winning entries get a credit. |

| #3MindWandererBMay 20, 2008 15:40:14 | You can enter anything you like--if you find a theme and use it, and people like it enough to vote for it, then so be it. |

Also, for a continent, Ossina appears to be a small town in Bulgaria, but sounds like a bit of an alternative to Othala. |

Spatha is another kind of sword, much like a "Gladius", except they were longer and used by the officers and auxiliaries in the roman army instead of by gladiators. This is my personal favorite, as it sort of symbolically represents the shift of the game to a "points of light" style where the characters are heroes rather than simply warriors in the pits. Ferramentum is a general term for an iron implement, and we could go that way if we want to generalize beyond naming our principal city after a sword but still want it to be named after adventuring gear. |

City :Spartanopolis Name needs to be desided after we get some description of the new Continent.. is it Forest, jungle, Desert, some sort of history for the continent would be needed to make a name for it.. Is it effected by the same rift Gladius is.. what gods have Domain over it. ect.. Just my 2.5 cents |
