News and Whatnot

This is an 'off' week for ECL10+.

Busy working on the new rules thread so that I don't have to bug MWB to make changes to it and so that I can update things like the monster lists and add the Rules of Sagaris.

In addition, it looks like we will be able to do 5 stickies on the forum - so we'll have the current three plus Characters of Sagaris and Battles of Sagaris.

CoCo 4e should be starting soon - spread the word in what way you see fit. Also - we'll be needing pitlords for it.

New Rulings - Courtroom

  • Daylight vs Control Light - Treat the Control Light power as a [Darkness] spell when used to reduce light in an area.
  • Nondetection - works against the spells specifically listed plus anything that allows someone extra ability to sense the subject.

Current Discussions
  • Obsidian Steed (Figure of Wondrous Power) - what's its CR? (for prebuffing and for rewards)
  • Metamorphic Transfer - what are its limitations?

The Council Decisions/Revelations
  • EL7 list for monster fights hasn't had a huge amount of discussion, but as of now will be used for monster fights.
  • Adjustments to the EL3 monster list. Hasn't had any comment that I saw - but for now we'll roll with it.
  • Adjusting the ally "penalty" to an actual penalty - looks like allies are going to stay unchanged for the time being.

Current Topics
  • EL8 list has been posted - comments are welcome.


Idle Conversations

These are topics that have died down but had nothing come of them. We may reinvest time into them should they continue to be an issue.
  • Council - Mechanics of the "Awaken" spell is currently being discussed in the council.
  • Council- Delay rules are still being discussed.
  • Courtroom - Sauro wishes an elder decision on using an intelligent cohort as a mount. [and what tricks/training it requires]
  • Council - There is a discussion on how quickly you should be able to aquire ethereal equipment.
  • Courtroom- The rules for Ride and Handle Animal are under discussion.
