Please don't edit the sheet after the deadline or you will lose the match.

News and Whatnot

This week is an Off-week for ECL10+. There's been some movement to allow ECL10+ fights every week, as opponents permit, but for this week at least, I'd like to hold off. Most importantly, I would like to have an idea on what are the effective maximum ECL that a pitlord is willing to work with.

I am eagerly looking for more pitlords. As a community, we can only thrive as much as people put effort in. I am able to do 4+ fights per week, but I have to recognize that I will get burnt out at this rate, so I would really appreciate people putting something back into the community. I'm not asking for multiple fights per week - I'm asking for 1.

Other than that - I am pleased with how things are going. Last week we had 13 fights - which is a good number actually. Given how many requests for changes that I've seen (new characters, activations and such) - it looks like this week will be just as populous.

I urge everyone to take a moment and provide his/her point of view with regard to the two current topics in the council (listed below). Ego whip is teetering on the edge of a three-sided precipice - voicing your opinion on the matter will help make a final decision.

New Rulings - Courtroom

  • None

Current Discussions
  • Obsidian Steed (Figure of Wondrous Power) - what's its CR? (for prebuffing and for rewards)
  • Metamorphic Transfer - what are its limitations?
  • Daylight vs Control Light - in circumstances where two powers/spells have the same descriptor - the last effect in wins the day. Daylight cast over light - daylight wins; Light cast over daylight (oddly enough) - Light wins. - Discussion ongoing

The Council Decisions/Revelations

Current Topics
  • New Monster lists using guidelines developed by MWB and myself. Some are complete. ECL7 is up for discussion
  • Banning/Modifying Ego Whip. A number of people have spoken up about it - but we're far from getting a majority. Please state your position on this if you haven't already.

Idle Conversations

These are topics that have died down but had nothing come of them. We may reinvest time into them should they continue to be an issue.
  • Council - Mechanics of the "Awaken" spell is currently being discussed in the council.
  • Council- Delay rules are still being discussed.
  • Courtroom - Sauro wishes an elder decision on using an intelligent cohort as a mount. [and what tricks/training it requires]
  • Council - There is a discussion on how quickly you should be able to aquire ethereal equipment.
  • Courtroom- The rules for Ride and Handle Animal are under discussion.

Im always up for seperate thread fights. As long as everyone has enough time, they are way clearer, without any discussions about tactic interpretations and it gives everyone the chance to adapt his tactic on the fly.

No penalties at all. There is no such thing as main hand and off hand if you don't actually use both weapons in a 2-weapons attack routine

Precisely. Basically - instead of going sword/board routine - I'm doing sword/lance routine to threaten both 5 and 10ft

I have no intentions on using them both at once - though it is important to mention which is in the off-hand due to the presence of the buckler.
