If there's an option you like that isn't on the poll, please mention it in the thread. You may vote for more than one. Note that the result of this poll will affect the subgames (guild, community, world, whatever we decide to go with). |

| #3salrantolMay 19, 2008 14:12:47 | I've actually been doing some thinking about this, and I've come up with what I think is a workable position. My idea is, some "random" deity of the corruption of magic decides that he wants to overthrow the nature of magic in the world, placing it completely under his control. He begins some mysterious, involved ritual, but something goes horribly wrong--the shift begins to happen, but (1) the magic is not under his control and (2) the system for the whole world does not change, but only for part of it, surrounded by a permeable/semi-permeable/impermeable (depending on preferences) "Ribbon," which separates the 4E portion of the world from the 3.5E portion of the world. The site of the botched ritual could then pulsate with so much magical energy that it develops its own Nimbus, and becomes a sort of second Gladius, in terms of a new Arena and all. |

Since the subgames aren't really part of any edition (or even D&D at all), this could be a nice way to continue to support 3e while moving on. |
| #5whitebaronMay 19, 2008 15:40:39 | I still like the new continent more - but if it is on the same, we could do 4e nation vs 35e nation. also, one could likely do missions to other continents as well. |
