ATHAS DWARVES The dwarves of Athas are powerful, athletic, and durable. They average just under 5 feet tall and weigh around 200 pounds. Their hairless bodies have been left tanned and leathered from countless hours toiling beneath the red sun. A dwarf has a life expectancy of 250 years, though many don’t make it that long. A dwarf’s pleasure is derived from the pride he holds in his work, and almost nothing can prevent a dwarf from working towards his focus. The dwarves’ obsession with their focus is ever present. They will approach their focus with stoic resolve for months, years, and even decades. When a dwarf has committed himself, he will rarely set his focus aside, and then only with much grumbling and complaint. No one is happier and more pleased with himself than a dwarf who has completed his focus. There is a darkside to a dwarf’s dedication to his focus. If a dwarf dies before his focus is completed, he will rise from the dead as a banshee. These banshees haunt the world of the living, angry that their life’s work went unfulfilled. ABILITY SCORE ADJUSTMENTS: Your Strength score increases by 1 DWARVEN FOCUS: You gain Advantage on saving throws and proficiency checks on rolls involving your focus. |

Athasian Dwarf Ability Score Increase: Your Strength score increases by 1. Focused: Once per week, you may choose a task that will require at least one week completing. You gain advantage on any Ability Checks and Saves directly related to completing that task. If you are forced to give up your task for any reason, you suffer disadvantage on all your Ability Checks and Saves for one week. |
