Reading the Defiling Rules it just doesn't seem very tempting to defile. The half-surge HP cost to all allies seems like too much dissincentive to me. Plus in my memory of the first couple books of the Prism Pentad I don't remember it being described this way. (I could be totally wrong; I haven't read them since they were originally published). I'm thinking of taking away that penalty entirely and making the only drawbacks for defiling the narrative ones. Thoughts? Does anyone have any Defiler PCs or PCs who walk the line between preservation and defiling? |
