I was going to create a make of the Tyr region during this age, but I don't have the time.

Outline.

No city-states but nation-states (The Republic of Tyr etc.

More water;

The Tyr River: flowed from the mountains to Alturak.
The Great Ivory Plains were a vast sea, called the Last Sea.
There was a river that flowed near Urik and the Lake Pit was an actual lake.
In most places, a salt-flat was a vast small sea.

Some changes

Kalidnay was a vast city on a small lake.
Gulg was a small village.
Tyr was the capital of a republic that followed the river to the moutains around Alturak.
Nibenay had a vast fleet of ships that controlled the Last Sea.
Lalali-Puy and Nibenay were together and known as the Dragon King and Queen and they lived in Nibenay.

That's all I got for now; desertification just doesn't happen over night and is a small and gradual process.  It's still happening in the Tyr-Region; the osasis will dry up; the Cresent Forest will die; the city-states will eventually become towns and then villages and then nothing. The city-dwellers will either flee or perish, or perish while fleeing into the wastelands.

"vast small"

I like the ideas and would be interested to see a finalized map. Is there perhaps a place you've located an enormous, endless forest?
