#1 zixel May 24, 2012 3:54:05	So, for the most part Arcane casting has to be hidden, even from other party members sometimes. I know you can make a bluff check opposed by an insight check to disguise most people. But, what about those people who are trained in Arcana? If you have 2 people trained in arcana, and one is trying to pass off his magic as psionics.. would you possibly make an opposed arcana check? I know that mainly the arcana skill is used for other things, but this seems kind of strange...
#2 warzark May 25, 2012 10:14:02	I'd allow it. It seems like a reasonable application of that skill. They are applying their knowledge of arcane magic to see if what that person's saying matches up with their actions. So if the arcane check succeeds the contested check, the character might know that the fireball just cast by the supposed 'psion' did not display any kind of psionic after effects, either on their person or around the area of effect. So from that they know that their party's psion is not what they say they are, and depending on the degree of success, they might know that what they casted was arcane magic. So tl;dr, it seems like an acceptable application of that skill.
