Armor Breakage (House Rule)

Here's a houserule I'm consider implementing as a counterpart to weapon breakage rules. For the record, I'll be using the option in which a natural one can be rerolled in exchange for an auto-break.

Armor Breakage
When a creature suffers a critical hit while it is wearing armor, it can force the attacker to reroll the attack and stick with the new result. If the creature chooses to do so, its armor is destroyed immediately. Metal armor, however, is only destroyed if the value on the attacker's reroll is 16 or greater.

Thoughts?

Seems fine to me... I can only imagine a very small number of circumstances that it would be wise to use, even fewer than the weapon breakage. But seems as fair.
