| #1TheNazgulMay 18, 2014 13:18:47 | I have recently gotten my hands on a copy of the Neverwinter campaign setting, and really like the 4E version of the old 2E fighter/mage multiclass bladesinger kit. So I took the liberty of doing a version that fits into Athas. The main idea of the Bladesinger in the Neverwinter book is largley the same. The main differences are that only Eladrin can be a Bladesinger Not Elves. Reason being the decline in elven society on Athas. Also the other races know nothing of bladesong techniques because it was not taught outside of elvin/eladrin society. The two backgrounds that fit in with this version of the class are the Haunted survivor from the Dark Sun Campaign setting, but with a twist, the character feels the need to fight fire with fire and has taken up the arcane magic that has destroyed thier home. The othe a new background Fey exile is for eladrin that have been exiled under punishment of death for using arcane magic. A new daily power called you use the defiling power to suck power from the land and add it to your attack while casting. In game terms you defile to add an at will wizard power to a melee basic attack dealing half damage from the wizard power and full damage for the melee basic. You must succesfully make both attack rolls for both the melee and wizard power and using the defiling power as is presented to reroll a roll. A missed Melee still does damge from a sucsesful wizard power but no melee damage and a missed wizard power roll does no damage but the sucsesful melee still does full damage if both miss the attack does no damage. All other progressions and powers are as is in the Neverwinter book. Please feel free to expirement comments, questions and concerns are very welcome.
