Now, althought here may not be "gods" on athas, there usre is religion, and that to me is all it takes, the Avengers strike down their "belief object's" enemies. Often an SK, or perhaps primal spirits of the land etc, or here's an obvious one, anti-defilers! slayers of defilers empowered by the land itself. hm? ![]() |

| #4Duke5150Jul 22, 2010 21:50:45 | Yup, avengers and invokers could be the SK agents no one, including other templars, what to mess with.you would have to assume the power souce is arcane Only if you allow wotc to tell you what you can and can't use in your game. |

An assassin doesn't scream preserver to me even though this makes his use of magic subtler. And defiling is too showy for someone supposed to be an assassin unless you are trying to be showy, which most assassins are not. Leaving it as Divine could be described as complete devotion to your sorcerer-king. He could be from a secret cabal raised by the king in seclusion, their lives forfeit to the sorcerer-king. This would make a good idea for that one divine character in your game. Maybe he broke the conditioning and is now on the run from his brethren, much like all those ninja movies and such. |
