Beyond the Prism Pentad: Does this Supplement Suck?

I remember being very excited when I first got this book. It was awesome to finally have stats for the SKs and the heroes. Then I got to thinking a lot of the stats didn't make too much sense, and were not even calculated correctly.

Later on, while reading the backstory descriptions and sum-ups, I got to think they didn't match too well at all with the Prism Pentad.

One could go on.

What do you guys think of this publication? Do any of you really like it and use it all the time as a source?

Curious about what you fellows think.

It does indeed suck. An execrable waste of paper. The writeups are OK as rough guidelines, but little else. Additionally, it has the dubious distinction of containing the worst DS adventure ever. So bad I can't even remember its name. Very poor.

Jan 12, 2009 12:32:05 Its bad. I got a cheap copy on ebay and its not wth the $4.99 for a PDF let alone the postage to New Zealand from the US on it.

The one good thing to come out of it was new art and the introduction of Malignor, a defiler seeking the mysteries of the Cerulean Storm. I have him become a cerulan mage and the direct pawn of Tithian-in-the-storm. Major baddy a la Dote Mal Payne.

Yeah, the artwork was pretty cool. It contains the only picture of Rajaat, iirc. Don't remember much about Malignor. I would be tempted to mock his rather silly villain's name, but let's face it, alongside such other examples of daft DS nomenclature like Mogadisho, Spunt and Borys, it's really not all that bad :D...
