I merely dropped my players into this world its fun to watch them try to figure out the lay of the land. I gave them an outdated map and an old journal that will periodically tell them some tid bit about where they are or where they are going.

I didnt have a problem with making new characters here but since they look so different here they have been enslaved once already as they dont look from around here so my dragonborn slavers captured them but they got out successfully.

I merged a couple of settings for my campaign they are in Dark Sun but they are there during the time of troubles (Forgotten realms its how I explain to myself the no god precense). Since it also says in dark sun that it isnt connected to the astral sea there first portal here was a one way trip and to get back they need to reconstruct the living gate (Bringing shardminds into the mix and their story) Then a ritual must be cast to reconnect the portal to the astral sea that the head of the Alliance has and has offered to cast for them. (The alliance things reconnected the gate will bring the gods back.)

I also made it to where this plane was directly layed over the fey plane and also from forgotten realms The spellplague has happened as when the time of troubles started and mystryl (At the time) was cast down to her avatar form the weave unraveled and so on.

I also took airships from eberron as a way to traverse the desert sudo safely but they costa  fortune to buy passage on.

I basically combined aspecs of eberron forgotten realms and dark sun for my campaign what have yall done with the setting?

I left the setting unchanged, with only a few houserules and fluff adaptations. Dark Sun has a too strong identity to mesh it with others, for me

I just made it one of the eras in my world.  So when I want to run it I just move the game forward in the future and we play there.

I also have a desert kingdom in my world that I am using Darksun to explain.  That way I have different rules when you are in that land.

I have never been a fan of time travel but if it works for you its dnd rightLaughing I just liked incorporating the things that I like from all the campaign settings into one campaign.
