Mar 20, 2012 22:57:42 		Awesome article. I currently run a 4E game that uses defiling rules more in line with the revised 2E rules. I was appalled when I saw how 4E defiling affected/damaged allies, and how clear that change had been made because of annoying players and DMs who require perfect game balance for all options, setting the narrative (and DM control) to the side.
