Hey all,
I have free papercraft cacti (3 sizes) and palm trees (2 types, 2 sizes of each) on my blog this week.  Check them out, pictures included in the post...

Hey, you started it! ;)

Your blog had some cool paper trees and I just thought it would be cool to see something for DS. I've spent a fair bit of time getting some metal and plastic ones being painted and I knew some people would like a shortcut. I've had a lot of fun with miniature cacti and finding ways to involve them in encounters.

Thanks again!

This is perfect. My first time playing DS way back when the DM actually used REAL cacti, small ones but real none the less. We all though that was the coolest thing until it was time to start moving our minis around the battle mat. We knew that DS was supposed to be brutal but not real blood on the map. Admittedly it did help set the mood.

Wow, that's.... really cool and a little sick all at the same time.  I suppose if you wanted to make the paper ones more deadly, you could always glue some razor blades to them or something. Tongue out

So, I'm going to shamelessly bump this thread, not because I'm in the habit of doing that, but because I keep getting hits from it on my site, and that leads me to believe that many people are finding it useful.  As an aside, I was at the craft store the other day, and saw a pack of 4 or 6 plastic palm trees in the railroad scenery section for about $10.  With the 40% off coupon that most craft stores do every week, these little plastic trees become pretty affordable.

Come for the cacti, stay for the podcasts, right? Or was it for the mini-painting articles? The LFR maps? Yeah, check out their site, folks! Cool
