Chatchka aka Shuriken?

Would you allow a player to use the chatchka instead of shuriken for use with 'rogue weapon talent' ? Or the dejada instead of the sling for the same case?

Aug 30, 2010 6:48:52 I count the chatchka as a hand crossbow for the purposes of the rogue's automatic proficiency and the Sharpshooter Talent feature. Crossbows should be very rare on a world with little metal.

Aug 30, 2010 7:48:49 Meh, as a DM I'd allow it. It isn't overpowered or anything.

It becomes a 1d8 weapon with a +2 proficiency bonus as opposed to a shuriken which is a 1d6 with a +3 proficiency bonus.

In math terms it's going to be inferior to the shuriken in most cases, unless you've got crazy attack bonuses.

The sling question is a bit confusing, because Dejada already count as slings and should work with sharpshooter talent and probably deadeye slinger by RAW.
