#1 Raddu76 Oct 28, 2009 0:58:43	I'm not sure if this has been talked about but here goes...In the standard 4e cosmology the Primordials are the uber bad guys.  As a result in a core D&D game I've seen mention of elemental cults being a good villains because these cults generally want to bring their element to the forefront and take over the world for their Primordial master. However, on Athas elemental clerics were tasked to restore order to the elements, which kind of goes against 4e cosmology. Any thoughts? Perhaps the world is like it is because the earthen, sun, and fire primordials are "winning" and it has nothing to do with defiling...
#2 Pennarin Oct 28, 2009 14:08:37	I imagine (and hope) they will ditch the Athasian concept of the elements waring betwen themselves, and one cleric worshipping one element. I found that bit silly the first time I read it back in '91, and it seemed a forced way to create strife between the various types of clerics. A bit in the vain of preserver vs. defiler, water cleric vs. earth cleric. The Elemental Chaos fits DS very well as it is, IMO. No changes needed, besides no gods and no defeat at their hands.

Read the section on primordials in the 4e MotP, it mentions that there are some truly horrible destructive forces among the primordials, those are locked up. There are others that aren't chaotic or evil, but are neutral instead. Still, all are agents of the cycle of creation/destruction.
#4 Tyranthraxus Oct 29, 2009 7:25:12	I think they will want to keep the Clerics of different Elemental Faiths. It provides some interest in the differing elemental faiths (although I dont mind them getting rid of the weaponary restrictions).
