In other words, is it true that it should say radiant damage and where can I find this that would hold sway on the DM for my local group? Also, he seems not to believe me on the Commrades' Succor ritual and does NOT seem equipped with the info on that ritual. My next issue is we are not yet at the week 6 point, where everyone SHOULD level up, but I worry the DM won't know that and he'll let things go on at level 1 for everyone. If this happens what should I do? If it is true about the radiant damage correction, how can I prove it to him about the radiant damage if the correction had not yet been made? Basically, how can I get official Wizards of the Coast confirmation or something similar on corrections made especially with Barcan? The guy just seems obligated to be there and I certainly don't have in me to deal with it. I also know that I'm not the only person getting the books when they come out, so everyone ignores me when I tell them I know what creatures are coming in an encounter, but that's not my issue since I use Barcan. Is there anyway basically in the worst case scenario for me to appeal on a DM that may not be playing it seriously? |

The ritual appeared in Dragon 380, probably this article here, but my subscription just expired so I can't open it up. The cards have a little note on them that some details were omitted for brevity. With Blazing Starfall at least you can use a nearby copy of Arcane Power if one is in the store - that's the source that this power came from. Still, the DM is the one running it, and they choose the materials that are applicable to the game (I don't know if Encounters has any rules for DMs, though). In any case, if he's uncooperative you'll have to bow or bow out. As for knowing what's coming in an encounter - don't do that. The rest of us haven't seen this movie yet. ![]() |
