| #1OzmodiousOct 14, 2011 5:43:03 | I saw this picture of the black kraken for Warhammer and my mind went spinning with ideas. brownk29.blogspot.com/2011/10/dreadfleet... I see a future adventure where the players are on a silt skimmer and this thing raises from the silt... can make this a Captain Nemo type thing or a pirate thing etc... very excited about it actually.... any other ideas ? Kind of thought I could do this as an undead machine or something similar to make it fit :0 |

A long dead remnant from the Green Age that was preserved in the increased salt content of the forming silt, a necromancer stumbled upon it. Using his magics, he was able to bring it back into the semblance of life, fully under his control. With his minions for assistance, you proceeded to hollow out it's form, strengthening it's shape with magic, until it became a usable vessel of massive proportions. Now, he sees himself as the scourge of the Silt Sea, rising from the depths, the long dead but no less deadly arms of his beast rending and tearing all who tresspass in his self proclaimed relam. Hope that gives you some help. |

Maybe using an organ from a Silt Horror as a breathing apparatus. Silt Skimmer crew that's captain was a genius who after studying the creatures created a destroyer of ships. |

| #5OzmodiousOct 19, 2011 13:30:34 | ok just to keep everyone informed- I am using all of the ideas plus these: The captain was cursed and bound to the ship, the ship will only take orders from the captain and the captain can never step on shore again or he, the ship, and his crew will wither into silt. The ship has a large eye that watches the captain as he makes orders and when it flips around to see where it is going, the underside allows all in the pilot station to see through the silt as if it were water. The squids second eye is missing and torn into smaller pieces that are attached to the silt horror's organ to allow the " divers" to see where they are going. These are all tied to the ship so they will not work without the captains orders. ( I did this so players would not be tempted to kill the capt and crew to take posession of the ship.) I made the captain understandable yet odd at the same time. Watched the 1958 20000 leagues under the sea again to see how they pulled it off... still a good movie after all this time ![]() |
