Keeping in mind that any adventure can be re-skinned to be a DS adventure, has anyone started making a list of adventures already set for the DS environment?  Wizards, Goodman Games, others?

I haven't but I'm thinking someone might have a list of Dungeon Adventures and other published adventures that fall into DS with little change?

The problem is there just isn't a lot of material out there for Dark Sun beyond older editions and what WotC themselves has released. I've only heard of one thing that I don't think was WotC made for this edition's version of Dark Sun, and that was the Ashes of Athas adventure that's being played at conventions.

So far, we've gotten the following from WotC:

Bloodsand Arena (Free RPG Day offering, available for free download)
Fury of the Wastewalker (An Encounters Season adventure - eBay is pretty much the only place you can buy it)
Dark Sun Campaign Guide (Has a few encounters in the back)
Marauders of the Dune Sea (A Dark Sun dungeon crawl, basically - the only official adventure for sale in stores)

Plus a number of little bits and pieces in Dragon and Dungeon Magazines.

If you adapt older edition stuff, there's a lot more you could use.

In the end it's just a little sad because although Dark Sun seems to have articles pretty regularly in the magazines, it's not like those are a true substitute for actual support. It's too bad that supporting the worlds they've released material for doesn't appear to be WotC's plan right now. Everything seems to be mostly geared towards being about player options or is in a generic setting that makes it harder to work into Dark Sun than any other world they've released info for.

What I would give to have a Living Dark Sun...sigh. I'm personally hoping someone with far more time than myself converts Desert of Desolation into a 4e Dark Sun adventure series

There is a thread dedicated to doing that conversion. I would also use the lack of material, which there is not really given the fact that there are 2 to three articles per magazine plus you could reskin any adventure posted in the magazine, to build my own campaign. Build on the old 2nd edition stuff do some conversions and some adeventure building and bam Dark Sun campaign.

Ya, this is my biggest issue, and I realize it is me, my issue. I don't get a lot of prepare time for the two groups I run.  In fact, tomorrow at work I'll read the info for tomorrow nights DS game session.  I do have a copy of the DS Encounters, we are starting Session 3.  I also run a standard Nentir Vale group on many Saturdays.

I have a few 3.5 Paizo desert adventures, oddly...no one crucify me for saying it, the current online MB with that silly slide scale is "perfect" for doing a quick 3.5 monster swap.  I just don't get onbline access while I game so it all has to be printed in advance.  (Wizards if I could RTF save it out that sure would be an awesome helper).

Anyway, I was hoping others had found some good DS material.

Being new  to Dark Sun, I've never seen that adventure before. Could somebody summarize it? And could you please find the link to the thread where people are converting it?

Very nice. I don't often attend the Con's, so I've missed out on most of the DS adventures so far. I hope someday all the DS aventures will be available for download/home-play.

That is really great news!  Maybe all three chapters available for home play by the end of the year?

That is awesome news Dave!  Any ideas about having AoA available for DDXP 2012 yet?

You can count on it, though it isn't clear which chapters.

Ashes of Athas is next at Comicpalooza in May in Houston. One of our admins will be there and the organizer rocks (I was able to run a slot 0 for his DM group recently).

With Ashes of Athas we aim to provide you with a really nice story-driven option. It is meant to live alongside your other play, whether it be home play, LFR, etc. We are finalizing chapter 2 and 3 plans and... oh, sorry, I have a Templar of Abalach-Re causing my house plants to wither and die... no spoilers.

That said, there is some good content out there for a home campaign. The Dungeon content is pretty good. You can easily get to 8th or so by playing around with the Dungeon and other content, perhaps higher. By that time you can likely think of some ideas for a campaign, such as following up on the basic artifact plot of the Vault series. Not that there isn't art to it, but encounter construction in 4E is a lot easier than in previous editions.

They can be played in the Netherlands just like they can be anywhere else (but nothing is for sale or distribution). The website has all the details.
