And House Ianto as a Tyrian Noble house? We'll see.... Here's an interview with some of the people involved. fromthetip.blogspot.com/2010/08/from-pag... |

| #3OzmodiousJan 09, 2011 21:13:23 | Got it and read it... not bad art... Mul with Mohawk kinda silly, the more I looked at it the worse I felt about it. Very over the top action but I enjoyed it as I suspected and looking forward to issue #2 |

| #5tzarevitchJan 10, 2011 11:34:35 | I liked the art (I could also have done without the mohawk). I would have liked it to tell more of a story in the first book though. The opening edition should have been more grabbing. |
| #6Razor767Jan 10, 2011 15:14:58 | Yeah, the mohawk's gotta go. |
| #7Reg06Jan 10, 2011 15:37:19 | What's wrong with the mohawk? Mul's are typically hairless, but it is no guarantee. I'd prefer him without, but it's not that bad. |
| #8fromost_the_grimm_02Jan 10, 2011 18:08:03 | Not just the mohawk, but stubble. Nothing says 'representing the campaign milieu' like taking the setting's iconic race and changing it significantly. What did grab me however were the wider scenic panels detailing the barren wastes. They set the scene well. |
| #9battles14Jan 11, 2011 1:45:37 | I'm disappointed with the Dark Sun comic. It's nowhere near the quality of the Rogers and Di Vito book. The art's not too bad (kinda Saturday-morning-cartoonish), but my biggest problem is with the writing. Here's just a sample of the awful dialogue: "How did I end up on the back of a cloud ray elder with the world's only sentimental gladiator?" (sung) "Walk the shores of the forked tongue/Riches await in Tyr/Grudvik the mul is a little high-strung/But he's got nothing to fear..." And my personal favorite: "Someone doesn't want us to be together, so they charged me with a crime." (A crime, you say!?!) |
| #10OzmodiousJan 11, 2011 8:15:03 | I liked the paper too... rough feel to it like papyrus instead of slick pages that some comics are printed with. As for the mohawk: I feel when something is being done for the first time it should be done with detail. So when a person reads the comic, gets interest in Dark Sun and wants to play they then discover that Muls have no body hair and go" Hmmm but that one guy from the comic hada mohawk". I know it's dumb but that is what I think when I see it. I just think it is better to stick with stereotypes when doing something for the first time so that people get the idea then they can toss in some minor changes. |
| #11mgbeachApr 22, 2011 21:06:42 | In the back of the third issue there's a character sheet for the main character.. the mohawk-bearing mul named Grudvik. Turns out he's level 25..that's one heck of an arena career before striking out on his own. |
| #12GallardApr 24, 2011 1:18:48 | unfortunately this Dark Sun comic is as bad as the other Dungeons&Dragons is good. i am disappoint ![]() |
