I guess the point of this thread is to just say.  I love the Monster Vault the tokens are easy to use and give you something to throw down on the board with out owning a ton of minatures.  I have really wanted to run a Dark Sun campaign but I have been reluctant because I don't have any Dark Sun monsters really in minatures or tokens.  So as much as I would love to see a whole Dark Sun minatures set thats probably not going to happen.  What I am saying is you guys should release a Dark Sun tokens set with Dark Sun theamed monsters.  I am sure that Dark Sun fans everywhere would love this product.  I for one played a ton of Dark Sun back in second edition.  Its just that during 3rd-4th edition I have gotten very used to using minatures.  What I am saying is please realease a Dark Sun token set I am sure I am not the olny one who would be excited about this.

I would LOVE to have a DS token set. I think it would be a hot seller because lots of DM's I know use DS monsters in their home campaigns which aren't even dark sun worlds. Who doesn't want more mosnters?

Please make this happen WOTC.

It probably wont.

Unless WOTC comes out with an Essentials-like collectors edition of Dark Sun, or another Creature Catalog, you'll probably have to do with what's currently available with DIY tokens.

Creating tokens is easy, I employ it very often. All you have to have is: cardboard, glue, scissors, pictures on computer, printer and tokentool software.

I would also purchase this. I am a new DM and do not want to invest a lot of time in making tokens. I would rather buy a vault of DS tokens.

I love Token tool, it with a little bit of Gerald Broms artwork and you got instant cool Dark Sun tokens.

I make maps in Illustartor and just move the tokens on our flatscreen d & d table.
Token tools allowed me to created entire armies with a little copying and pasting.

While savvy enough to create my own, if WOTC made a monster token set for Dark Sun, I'd buy two sets of them on principle. The Essentials offering of rules, maps and monsters together at an affordable price brought me back to D&D. I just bought the "Deserts of Athas" tiles yesterday and would love to couple it with monster tokens!

I would also purchase a set of DS monster tokens. I'm able to make my own pretty easily--I use the DS Creature Catalog art available for download, make a grid of pictures properly sized in Photoshop, print it on cardstock, run it through the laminator, and then chop it apart with a straight-edger. You can't flip them for "bloodied", unfortunately (without a lot more work), but 20 or 30 minutes for several sessions' worth of monster tokens is well worth it. Nonetheless, I would buy a token set.

Honestly can't understand why they won't come out with Dark Sun Monster tokens or even a complete set of monster tokens including the creature catalog monsters. Even at $20 a set it would be cheaper to produce than minis and I would buy multiple sets myself. I prefer minis but never use them because they are too expensive so I made my own tokens with numbers on one side and the same number and bloodied on the the back side. Cheap and it works but still not as cool as printed tokens. I have tried to do them myself but never get the size right or screw something up when I try making them look nice.
