So I have been mulling this over, and I think my next chat project will be running a Dark Sun chat for online game play. It seems that running it here is fine and seems the most logical choice.
I want to put feelers out for this and see who all is interested, we will need DMs, people to help us create more content, and most of all players.

We will be running it with the 4e rules, and can easily use some of the DDI tools available, though having a DDI account is not required, it will just help some.

So, what is an online chat you say? Think of it as more or less as TT online, though the table top is open 24/7/365. Players can jump on the chat and role play their various characters with other player's characters in some of the many rooms that will be available whenever they want. DMs can then schedule events (scenes) that players can sign up for, or jump on and throw something at the unsuspecting players if everyone has time for a scene. Think of it as a roleplaying MMO that doesn't require you to farm or grind to level since you will be earning a small amount of XP every day that you login.

I am not sure what chat software we will be using. There is another gaming host out there that can do this for us with an integrated character DB (for a small cost that I am fine covering) and link back to us as we use athas.org for the main site and forums, but I will leave those kind of decisions for later.

At this point I am wanting to see who all here is interested and if you are please post here, or get with me through various other means, like IM and email. Do not PM on the wizards site since I very regularly catch those PMs in time.

I'd love to get in on this.  Not sure if I'd have time to DM , but definitely help somehow.

I'd be interested in checking it out. I won't have time to help with DM duties, but it would be fun to jump in sometimes to roleplay. I haven't played Dark Sun before, and from everything I've heard, it sounds right up my alley.
