#1 lastard Oct 26, 2009 9:22:01	Hi! Just wondered if anybody saved any of the Dark Sun material that is vanishing today as Geocities is closing down? I copied whatever was left of Gerald Arthur Lewis' site and the Dark Sun Gallery (about half is already gone   ). Has anybody got the complete Dark Sun Gallery images? #6 lastard Oct 26, 2009 11:21:34	Ah, and some of the dead links were also there ages ago, at least the ones on G.A. Lewis site. So these are not due to today's shutting down. I did mention Geocities closing down several times both on the board and on the mailing list. Unfortunately, it's full of abandoned, but still useful rpg fansites/webrings for all sorts of games. So all this will be lost
#7 lastard Oct 26, 2009 11:28:26	I don't know who Dawnstealer is or whether G.A. Lewis' is still around, but if they (or anybody else) want me to host any of their (or other) stuff at the Twin Moon Circus, I can do this. Got more than enough space now since moving my page.
#8 gab Oct 26, 2009 11:29:20	The Internet Archive (www.archive.org) has a few snapshots of Gerald's page. It may have other sites, if you know the URL.
#9 greyorm Oct 26, 2009 15:16:34	The Internet Archive is great, but it doesn't always save everything, and is especially bad about archiving images. Regardless, quite some time back, I went through and saved all the pictures from Dawnstealer's site that I could. I believe I have his e-mail, and I'll try to get ahold of him, see if he's moving his site or if it is OK for me to put the images up somewhere. I'll also see if I can save any of the other Geocities sites with HTTrack. (Though I wish I'd have had a couple days heads-up.)

I either missed you note or it wouldn't have been a priority in June, wasn't even really thinking about it until it was mentioned there were DS sites there that would be lost as of tomorrow. At this point, I've managed to save a number of the Geocities sites listed in the link to the other forum above.
