| #1sir_sparhawkApr 21, 2010 18:57:47 | More Dark Sun previews please. We're four months out which isn't too far away. Please give us some more teasers. Rich Baker isn't even keeping up with his "Dark Sun" blog and when he does, he tells us about Fantasy Baseball. THERE'S NO DICE IN BASEBALL!! Seriously though.... ....need more please. |
| #2big_goonApr 21, 2010 19:51:09 | What's this bass baal you speak of, heh? It's hockey season! Anyways... I second Sparhawk's proclomation! Note, they have released some DDI material that works well in Dark Sun. For example, the Goliath/Children of War/Gladiator article and the Mind's Eye/Psionic Talent articles, plus the PHB3 and MM3, are essentially Dark Sun articles. |
| #3sir_sparhawkApr 21, 2010 21:07:48 | I saw the Goliath Gladiator article, but wouldn't that article be better for Mul's? I wonder if I could more easily translate that article for Mul's when DS comes out. Then again, they might have that done for us in the Campaign Guide. I still need to get my hands on MM3 and PHB3 is great except for all the lame ass new races. I'm a stickler and only let my players play "original" races. Ironically...it's more "real" to me in a fantasy setting. Go figure. |

I've thought about complaining more directly to the WotC web folks, because as nice as "The Dark Sun blog" is, it is about Dark Sun about less than 25% of the time something is posted and posts are weeks/months apart. I have a feeling that WotC may just not care about Dark Sun 4e as much as FR or Eberron and are just going through the motions to fulfill "1 setting per year". That WotC has greater investment in the Essentials line, Gamma World, and pseudo-board games. I want to see WotC is as enthusiastic about DS 4e as their other products. And right now I just don't see that they are. I WANT to be wrong. |

I would love to see Dark Sun material as much as the next guy, but were talking about a product that is still months from being on the shelves. Its not that long of a wait. Its not fair to pass judgement on WOTC's commitment level to Dark Sun before the material has hit store shelves. |
| #7ascottbayApr 25, 2010 17:10:00 | As I recall, FR and Eberron content started coming out well in advance; ways to adapt adventures to the settings, as well as one-shot articles covering an organization or archetype of the setting. As someone who never got into Greyhawk, Dragonlance or Eberron, and has become disinterested in the Realms, I'm surprising interested in Dark Sun. I'd definitely renew my Insider subscription next month if it meant access to exclusive Dark Sun previews, wink-wink. |
