| #2king_cromagJul 01, 2010 11:49:35 | A few agents were in the Black Spine adventure. |
| #3xlorep_darkhelmJul 01, 2010 12:02:39 | Black Spine details the Githzerai, Githyanki, and their connection to the Athasian Gith as well as their involvement with the introduction of Psionics in Athas... |
| #4SysaneJul 01, 2010 12:04:35 | They set off a Mindbomb that inadvertently caused githyanki to become gith and may or may not have resulted in the Rebirth races developing wild psionic abilities. ((runs for cover)) |
| #5PennarinJul 01, 2010 12:16:42 | 2e Dark Sun was connected to the Great Wheel, the Multiverse described in the Planescape product line, thus Githyanki could get to Athas that had walked on Toril...not a fun combo for the themes of Dark Sun. Just imagine a shipment of metal stuff from another world... 4e Dark Sun, like the other worlds now, is alone in its own setting/universe, so its Gythianki have never known another world than Athas. No metal there. They are now part of the natural order of the world, not intruders upon it. Same for Githzerai and all other critters from the planes. |
| #6bajatmercDec 22, 2011 19:29:23 | I am looking for flavor text. So far I have: The Gith are a green scaled humanoid race of peaceful desert dwellers. They are known for their psionic powers and preserving. In cities they hide their skin to avoid being racially identified. They are cold blooded and usually build earth homes. |
| #7RockboyDec 24, 2011 20:40:12 | "The Gith are a green scaled humanoid race of peaceful desert dwellers. They are known for their psionic powers and preserving. In cities they hide their skin to avoid being racially identified. They are cold blooded and usually build earth homes." Most of the above is not correct. They are defilers, not peaceful, do not have green scaled skin typically, are typically not free visitors of any other civilizations. Not sure about cold-blooded, but I do not think so either. Anyone feel free to correct if with better info. |
| #8mouthymercDec 28, 2011 7:37:51 | I am looking for flavor text. So far I have: This is the original text from 2E. The gith are a race of grotesque humanoids that appear to be a peculiar mixture of elf and reptile. They are extremely gaunt and lanky, with long gangling arms and spindly legs. Their hands have three fingers and no opposable thumb, yet they are able to use tools and weild weapons. Both their fingers and toes end in sharp claws. If one could get a gith to stand up straight, he would measure close to seven feet tall. However, most gith appear to be no mre than five feet tal, for they stand hunched over at the shoulders. The gith live in tribal organizations. The individual with the most powerful psionics generally acts as the leader. All other social positions are distributed at his pleasure. |

Not unless the DM wants to have them be preserving, peaceful, green-scaled creatures. |
| #10bajatmercJan 13, 2012 9:05:17 | I didn't realize how far I was from cannon. I will toughen them up. I will make them isolationists so they don't get taken advantage of. The images of them that I see show green scales and skin though. Why is that? |
| #11DontEatRawHagisJan 13, 2012 13:47:19 | s iTHis is a gith, at least how they look in the Creature Catalogue. |
| #12bajatmercJan 13, 2012 15:43:42 | At least that one has thumbs. |
| #13GallardJan 16, 2012 2:13:47 | for players who want to play a githzerai, i call them 'Gith Prime'; flavored as a gith who has evolved/mutated into slightly higher intellect. these then who dont leave thier tribes, would be tribal leaders/advisors or high-powered outcasts. |
