The pronunciations are quite strange. Athas is nearly A-Physs, Drow is Draw, and Krynn is K-Rin (like the female french name Karine). Who would have guessed. You crazy Americans...

Pronounce it like KRIN. Though I pronounce it as "awesome." ;)
Please note, none of our pronunciations are official. I think, after this was recorded, WotC officially said that mul was prounced just like it is spelled, with a short U.
Krynn: kreen (lower key than the mantis' name, though)
Athas: ah-tas (close enough to Greece's Atlas)

Drow sounds like it's got an A in there, not an O.
In '91 I was a newcomer to English, and thought Athas' H was silent.

Different designers have said different things. I believe it was Mike Mearls that said in an early podcast that it is pronounced so it rimes with 'how', not with 'dough'.

Drow, like drown without the 'n', rhymes with 'how now cow'.
Krynn, KRIN, kr as one sound.
Athas, a-th-us, first 'a' like 'hat', second 'a' is a schwa.
(Man, this is why we need a phonemic spelling reform for English. Yay, diacritic marks.)
Wouldn't it make the most sense if all of these words were pronounced differently in different parts of the world or by different races... just like us? Like Dwarves that sound like the Japonese, Thri-Kreen that sound like Swahili and Half-Giants that sound like... uhm... Andre the Giant.
Drow: Dr-ow / Dr-ah / Dr-oh / Dr-oo / ...
Krynn: Kr-en / K-rin / K-ran / Kr-yan
Athas: Ah-thus / Aye-Thus / Aa-tus / Aa-taas / A-tuz / *click*-Tus / ...
etc... allows players and dm's to role-play people with funny accents: just like Flip's and Penn's
