| #1flipJul 16, 2003 22:35:02 | Okay, here's the deal. I'm in the middle of uploading a 16 meg PDF of DS3. I'll post when it's available. This is not the final version of DS3. The final version will come after we've audited everything for 3.5 compliance and gotten the intro chapter and credits in place. However, at this point, the rules should be pretty static. Don't expect any major changes. So, there are three types of feeback I'm looking for:
Everybody-in-my-english-class-hates-me Feedback Feedback on the document itself. Word spacings, random capital letters, grammer corrections and the like. I'm starting up a thread for this, where the first post will explain what format I want that in. 3.5 Feedback Things will go a lot faster on checking 3.5 compliance if we get some of the checking done in a distrubuted way. Let us know if you catch references to things that no longer exist in 3.5, or notice other incompatabilities. Playtesting Feedback This is the meat and potatoes of what we need. Obviously, this can't exist as a single thread ... there's probably too much, and that'd get way too confusing. However, let's try and keep it somewhat condenced. If you've got a playtesting comment, do the following:
Simple rules, but please follow them. It'll keep the feedback manageable, and might even help a few of us over here retain sanity (What little we have) And, the upload has finished. You can find it at http://athas.org/releases/ds3/ Remember, this isn't quite final! |

| #3zombiegleemaxJul 31, 2003 2:30:41 | Play test: Spells Where is the 4th level spell Elemental Burst? Its not in the PHB or the Dark Sun Spells chapter. |
| #4zombiegleemaxAug 05, 2003 12:39:47 | Cerulean hail lists it as being a fury of storms 5 spell. The domain lists however show it as a cold malice 6 spell. General note, would there not be at least one domain that offers the fly spell to air clerics? |
| #5jon_oracle_of_athasAug 05, 2003 13:17:37 | This thread is not a feedback thread in itself - it contains information on how to provide feedback in other threads. Failure to comply will be sanctioned with lightning bolts. |
| #6zombiegleemaxAug 05, 2003 13:24:25 | Sorry, I didn't see any other errata thread. |
| #7jon_oracle_of_athasAug 05, 2003 14:52:33 | You might have to dig a little, but they're there. And if you can't find an appropriate one, just start a new one. |
| #8player1Aug 05, 2003 15:23:35 | "Sticking" them on top could help. :D |
| #9zombiegleemaxSep 13, 2003 15:00:06 | pick pocket does no longer exist, it is now called 'slight of hand'. oops, and the bards conceal (i think thats what its called) ability would just add its bonus to slight of hand, because this ability replaces general dexterity checks. |
| #10jon_oracle_of_athasSep 13, 2003 17:58:18 | Again - This thread is not a feedback thread in itself - it contains information on how to provide feedback in other threads. |
| #11dawnstealerDec 09, 2003 13:26:33 | So should we provide feedback on this thread? I'm confused. :invasion: |
| #12nytcrawlrFeb 04, 2004 21:59:44 | So what are we suppose to post on this thread again? I can't remember.![]() |
| #13Markus.lApr 16, 2004 2:51:54 | Hey Nathan, when will the "Full" [of pictures hopefully] PDF be available? I LOVE that Brom simple black line art that was done years ago... |
| #14nytcrawlrApr 16, 2004 22:48:01 | Originally posted by Markus.l Once all the errata gets done and in there. A month or two maybe? Don't quote me on that though and be sure to take lots of salt. |
| #15flipApr 17, 2004 12:51:10 | Nyte's the wrong person to ask on that. It'll be out after we've integrated the XPH stuff, and I get a chance to fix some other things. Plus, manipulating some of the artwork so it 1) looks good 2) doesn't destroy the file sizes is a bit of a task. |
| #16Markus.lApr 17, 2004 18:26:43 | Originally posted by flip Any estimated time frame you can give? May, June... [gulp]... July...? |
| #17zombiegleemaxApr 26, 2004 21:18:33 | Edit: I misunderstood the purpose of this thread ("This is not the feedback thread"). |
| #18zombiegleemaxJun 18, 2004 3:51:13 | I sent several error and mistake reporting mail to ds3-errata@athas.org the past days. Up to now i got no answer. Is that normal ? |
| #19nytcrawlrJun 18, 2004 20:22:20 | Originally posted by PogS (FR) Yes, heh. We are busy beavers here lately. I'm sure your errata was looked at though. ![]() |
| #20zombiegleemaxAug 30, 2004 22:05:24 | ![]() (just kidding) |
| #21jon_oracle_of_athasOct 30, 2004 7:50:02 | Since this is the only Sticky thread we have, I'll post the link to the FAQ on athas.org here. Read the FAQ before you ask questions about athas.org, DS3 or anything that lies between. It's not just recommended, it is a good idea. http://www.athas.org/faq |
| #22poliponeDec 21, 2004 10:46:29 | You should leave the 3.5 conversion last, and upload the final 3.0 "official" conversion before starting converting to 3.5. This way the work will be usable even by those (like myself) who still stick to 3.0. (BTW, I already downloaded a pdf about Athas 3.0, but I suspect it wasn't final) |

| #24zombiegleemaxDec 31, 2004 15:20:56 | In the interest of getting things out with less time in between items for those of us who stay current, I like the fact that Athas.org releases in the most current versions. For those who play 3.0, you can update your materials without buying new core books by getting the update downloads form the wizards dnd site. |
