| #1GrummoreApr 11, 2011 7:29:02 | I've just read a thread about an excellent encounter "On Top of a flying Cloud Ray" which made me think that it could actually be a good idea to start a thread with encounters ideas. There are those times when we get a blank and would like to find an idea that would restart your campaign or maybe just something to fill in the blank. So please, if you have anything that could be of use for any GM around, please post it here and I will update a list in the beginning post of this thread. I would suggest that kind of information to be put in the list (and in your encounter): 1- Name of the encounter 2- Short synopsis of the encounter (what's at stake) 3- Number of players and encounter level 4- Maps, pictures and other details (if possible, but it's always appreciated) There are surely some that already exist in the forum. Maybe the creators will remember them. Otherwise, if you find a pearl, please post it here I will work on the list. Btw, I am not familiar with the 4th edition terms; maybe someone with experience in 4e could give me a hand with the classification? Thanks. |

Have the PCs wake up after an unusually large silt storm that demolishes the tavern and knocks them out, only to discover it still dark outside...they seem to be in an underground cavern, perhaps under the city? After some exploration, one of the surviving patrons exclaims, "Those aren't stalactites, they're teeth!" |

I just like over the top action and adventure like a movie, when i make an encounter I try to think would I see this in a movie or is it not exciting enough? If it is then I run with it. |
