Occording to the table of contents for the October issue of Dragon there are going to be 2 articles dealing with gladiators. Maybe it will offer some ideas for people converting the DS gladiator class to 4e.

I think it is going to actually be articles on running a gladiator type campaign (ie you PCs are gladiators fighting in the pits). I think at best we might see a Gladiator Paragon Path, but i really don;t think it is going to see its own fully fledged class...

I don't really see the point of a Gladiator class in 4th ed. maybe a paragin path?

Actually, as mentioned here (second to last paragraph) and I believe in Podcast episode 24 (I don't quite remember though), the Gladiator isn't going to be a Paragon Path or even a full class that you can start in. The only way to become a Gladiator is to Multiclass into it. Just like the Spellscars in the Forgotten Realms Player's Guide.

That is an idea i like as well. It could make for some very cool character concepts. :D

I agree and according to today's news post multiclass only classes (we need a name for these) are going to be appearing more often in the future. There's a lot of possibilities here.

Edit: I think I'll simply call it a MOC as it stands for Mulitclass Only Class and they are also a sort of mock class.:P
