Help Me Get Into Dark Sun

Jul 31, 2010 22:18:39 I want to get into Dark Sun but I know next to nothing about the world. I want to DM a DS game, can you give me any tips or advice.

What are you expecting to get out of it?

Best thing to do is read about it. The more you know about it, the more you'll know if you'll like it or not; also, you can always change it too.

Aug 08, 2010 12:49:32 I was right where you were Josha, but what sold it to me was that this was a different D&D world. The designers went above and beyond setting DS apart from all the other settings.

So I'll say this, if you are a fan Robert Howard's Conan, this is the setting for you. That was a big seller for me. Also, the SK's make outstanding villains, the cities are rich and detailed. The themes are terrific also.

Glance through the books, and I guranntee you will come up with hundereds of adventure possiblilties for your PCs.

One last note that also sold it. Sand Shark! (Silt shark in the book, but still)
