| #1johnmcadoreyFeb 10, 2012 21:20:58 | In my homebrew Dark Sun campaign, my players have just hit the Paragon tier. I have set the stage for them to take a tour of Kalak’s Ziggurat. When they get to the eventual Throne Room/ Laboratory, I have a certain plot hook I am going to throw at them involving time travel and the cleansing war and other such goodness. What I need is a few good evenings of filler to get them there. Any suggestions or links on some nice adventures (11th level) that I can transfer over into a Ziggurat dungeon crawl? For that matter, is there any ziggurat dungeon crawls already out there that are more or less early paragon level? |

You can make some changes to the classes. I would refrain from having the Green-Age to be classic Fantasy, but make it still Dark Sun with pscionics etc. Don't have Elves as gentle sylvians but and treacherous as in modern Dark Sun, except they ran through the forests (how else could they survive racial-cleansing). You can have the dwarves see Muls are abominations and a SK's army composed of half-giants (that's why they were created). I've been toying with the idea of Elemental-Kings that ruled just like the SK do today, but they are far older and much more powerful than the SKs. |

That being said, you can take the maps to use for the location, and maybe poach a few ideas to scale back for a paragon level threat. Hope this helps. Happy Gaming ![]() |

I pulled those maps, and the scaling part will be easy. Good advice on the time travel aspect as well. Taking the PC's back to an era of SK armies and a post green age cleansing war is also idea. Thanks for the help. |

I do think the 3-1 adventure could be used for good ideas and also as-is with scaling the monsters and adding a few monster theme powers. You could even start with Under-Tyr and use both 3-2 and 3-1 (perhaps even 3-3). Also, the latest Encounters season (Elder Elemental Eye) has a part that could work well (swapping monsters for higher-level Dark Sun threats). |

While it is intended to be a brutal 1st level module, with a little modification it could easily be made into an early Paragon tier adventure. If you have a DDI account you can put the monster stat blocks in the monster builder and scale them up. Also you might want to change the save and die effects to be a little less drastic, bloodied might not be a bad option, instead of death. |
