| #2nimblegrundMar 01, 2010 23:26:39 | The Marauders of the Dune sea adventure is described as taking place shortly after the death of Kalak. More than likely the short mini-adventure in the back of the campaign setting will directly tie into the events of Marauders. My guess is that the timeline of DS is fixed shortly after the events of the Verdant Passage; Kalak has been assassinated, and the Tablelands are in a state of upheaval. Since it is unlikely that they will release any more books past these three, I don't think there is anywhere for the timeline to go. As for Kalak, I don't know whether in the official timeline it was done by Rikus and Co. Or perhaps they found some unlikely method of getting the PC's to do it. |
| #3PennarinMar 02, 2010 1:16:21 | Mulhull was referring to novels, not books. I don't know how many new novels there will be, but they will assuredly work within the universe presented in the Prism Pentad. No point otherwise. All Eberron and Realms novels are this way. |

That said, new novels don't necessarily have to advance the timeline -- they could be set, initially in the "current" timeline, as opposed to FY 10, 17, or 300.... Just so long as they don't "break" the existing continuity of the PP |
