#1 Zackmack75 Jul 23, 2010 8:37:15	This may seem like a dumb question, but it's been bugging me.  Sorry if this is posted somewhere else. I've always pronounced Athas that same as Athens. With the soft A.  Lately, I've been hearing people pronounce Athas with hard A like Ape.  So is there an official way to pronounce it or is this a Tom-ay-to/Tom-ah-to argument and it's up to the person? Just curious.  I hate passive-aggressive arguments where people purposefully pronounce it differently in conversations...

#7 nimblegrund Jul 24, 2010 2:59:35	I have always pronounced it with a hard A.  I think it sounds better, but it seems in the podcasts they all go with a soft A sound.  I am probably pronouncing it incorrectly, though. I doubt I will change.  Try and stop me!

Although the way flip says it on the podcast "Ath-Ass" is a new way to me. Never heard it said like that. Atlas is perfect. Exactly how I say it. ( you know what I mean)
