| #2fromost_the_grimm_02Oct 25, 2010 20:12:08 | A somewhat high-level ritual that requires the blood of a living primordial, and the bones of a dead peer (i.e. a dead/undead Champion other than Sacha) as components. Should be too difficult ..? ;) |
| #3603Oct 25, 2010 20:26:52 | Drown it in the blood of the last giant two-headed troll on Athas. Alternately, make it a fake artifact on par with the Head of Vecna? |
| #4angelus_obscuraOct 26, 2010 13:12:36 | Sacha of Arala, Curse of the Kobolds and the 1st Champion of Rajaat. What better way to utterly destroy him than at the "hands of a kobold"? I put the clue in quotes because it could be taken literally or metaphorically, it all depends on how your players choose to interpret the solution. I recommend making a riddle, or a short limerick, that holds the key to Sacha's destruction. I'd make one for ya, but that would be a disservice to your creativity. ![]() But, here are some words to help you ... "hands of a kobold" "thrice-turned traitor" "scales shall be balanced" "breath of a dead man" (oooooo, I think I've outdone myself with that one, hehe) ![]() |

| #6TerrainosaurOct 26, 2010 14:16:26 | Sysane, I thought of something similar ... the Raise Dead ritual is based on the Healing skill, not Religion. It's conceivable that the PCs could try something similar and kill it. |
| #7angelus_obscuraOct 26, 2010 14:48:50 | Does the Raise Dead ritual even exist in Dark Sun? In all my (limited) readings of old Dark Sun material, resurrection has never been mentioned or used. The closest to it was Dregoth's raising, and that was more of a lichdom/animation type thing. While it is indeed dependent on the Healing skill, it is still a "divine" ritual. At least I thought so ... I could forgive primal's use of it, but arcanists ... ehh. Also, while the idea of reuniting the head and body has merit, and (kinda obvious), wasn't the body destroyed? Of course, it is totally up to the DM to change that. |
| #8SysaneOct 26, 2010 15:24:59 | Don't know if they ever went into what happend to Sacha and Wyan's bodies, just that they were beheaded. I could be wrong of course. Its been years since I've read the Pentad. |

Depends on if there's an ancient Kobold burial ground nearby. The dead aren't using their hands anymore. |
