#1 Nyarlathotep Jul 26, 2010 19:02:40	Not a complaint but something that just occured to me that seems a bit potentially odd with any Bards or Artificers in Dark Sun.  They are leaders, their powers usually are aimed at helping their comerades.  They are also Arcane, which means they can defile.  So basically, when they use a daily its possible for them to really hurt and really help their party at the same time, making them potentially a mixed blessing.  It just strikes me as a bit weird if they do it.  Not so weird that I am going to get upset about it or house-rule it out of my games, but just...weird.

#3 ian.thomson Jul 26, 2010 23:44:32	In a party with the defender being the only or main melee based character, I could see the party acting as a hit point battery for the defender. Or with atttack bonuses and such, there's the idea that HP doesn't just represent health but will to live, so the defiler bard defiling with some power that grants an attack bonus may be inspiring his "allies" to fight harder by scaring them or driving them berserk, and making them not want to survive as much.
