| #3jovis70Oct 02, 2011 15:12:46 | interesting, I too might borrow those. how would you price those out? |
| #4vanadium322Oct 02, 2011 17:49:22 | Well he already has price modifiers on some of them, so presumably the ones without a price modifier are normal price. |
| #5setiOct 03, 2011 21:38:50 | Yeah, I thought that the metals should cost more, but not as much as magic items. The more classic dark sun materials are "normal" prices. I also though that psi-shard (or whatever you want to call it) shouldn't be as expensive as a straight up magic item, as it doesn't have a bonus w/o wasting a PP, and it can still break. |
| #6theninjadOct 04, 2011 4:53:35 | Personally, as a Dark Sun DM, I wouldn't allow any of the uncommon things to be just purchased under normal circumstances. The same goes for magic items. Any concern about the price can be eliminated by only giving these to the players or restricting how they can get them. I'm also not sure about the psi shard, though. |
| #7GrummoreOct 04, 2011 7:40:23 | I am a very strict GM when it comes to equipment of all types. Usually my player don't see much stuff until they reach level 5. This particular campaign, they when from level 1 to 5 fighting in the desert, as escaped slaves, with rock and scorpion pincers. They had the money to buy something in metal around level 7 or 8. EVERYTHING is scarce in my game. Peoples likes to scrape some dirt. They feel happy when they get an ordinary weapon! ![]() |
