Does anyone know of a map of a large argosy? There is a map of a small one in Slave Tribes, but I am looking for something bigger.

I looked through my copy of Slave Tribes and couldn’t find anything called an “argosy”.  What exactly are you talking about?

I believe the slave tribe Werrick's Stalkers uses a very large wagon which could be considered to be a smallish argosy. I am looking for a map/floorplan for a larger one like you see in the artwork.

Argosy is just an archaic and fancy word for merchant ship or a fleet of such ships.

The following link has a fan made adventure with a war galleon map which could be used as an argosy.

I’ve not seen “Argosy” used except as a reference to a flotilla of merchant ships and never as a reference to the large (slave pen) wagons used in Dark Sun.  In Slave tribes in the Werrik’s Stalkers section it is just a wagon and the centerpiece of a caravan.  I was looking for images of a Silt Skimmers, which at least have sails.

I believe The Tempest Sysane linked to would be your best bet.

@Morandir62 - In Dark Sun an argosy is a massive-building-sized fortress wagon. Essentially they act as a caravan unto themselves. They were usually pulled by 2 mekillots.

@ Sysane - That is perfect. Ty much

There is a great map of a 3 level Argosy in the flip book adventure Merchant house of Amketch.  Not sure where you'd find a picture of it though.

In Revenge of the Mauraders there's the Crawling Citadel? I am also fuzzy on what an argosy is supposed to mean here.

For those asking what an argosy is in the context of Darksun-  They are large, building sized wagons used both by high end trading operations and military expeditions.  One is featured in the "Crimson Leigon" novel in Troy Denning's books, and they are mentioned in the DSCG as well.  Basically it is a rolling fort pulled by a couple of dinasour sized lizards.  Not exactly speedy, but very hard to stop once they are in motion.  I think there is even a reference in one of the books to the wealthy being able to get passenger service in them if they needed to travel between cities

Thanks. I knew I'd seen a map somewhere.
