#1 masato Oct 29, 2009 13:51:38	Hi there, I own all DS products. I scanned the maps from the revised boxet set in, so i can make an "complete" map of athas, with all the points of interest mentioned in other products. However, the quality of my scanner is not the best one. Am I allowed to download the .pdf version of the Products i already own? If yes, where? And if not, does someone own an .pdf of the Revised Boxet set? Is the quality of the maps very good or do you see that they scanned it just in? Because I don't want to buy something I already own if the quality is below "perfect". ^^ Thanks   Luke

#8 greyorm Oct 30, 2009 17:17:11	Best as I can recall, I never recieved a file for the Tablelands from Brian (the closest is the Green Age map for the Tyr Valley), and I don't have one on my drive. As far as I can tell, I've got all the maps and other materials I recieved from him up there. If anyone has any additional maps or files (or if Brian is out there and has more maps) send them my way and I'll make sure to add them.

But still, it's an impressiv work there .   Any future maps I make of the Athas will include elements and names of those made.  They will be sort of a base.   The cities and names will remain, abit different as a melding of Dark Sun ideas.

Thank you Russians! 4e adventures and books IMO should provide two types of maps at once: a bird's eye view type of battlemap (which comes seperatly and can be deployed during gameplay and minis put onto it), and the type 2e DS used for the maps of Dasaraches and Akarakle...a fake sideways 3D look. That stuff rocked!

#16 JohnLynch Dec 19, 2009 18:05:47	I'm looking to do a "back to basics" approach to Dark Sun and I just want everything from the original boxed set so I can build upon it and make Dark Sun my own. The "expanded" map of Athas from the Revised Boxed Set (post-Prism Pentad timeline) has too many elements that I feel subtracts from what makes Dark Sun unique. So I was wondering which, if any, of those maps on the Russian website just has the original Tyr-Region map? If none of them are the Tyr region and there is no such map on the internet, I've already constructed a jpg of the larger Athas region from the Revised Boxed Set. So could I simply trim the borders down from that map to get the map I want? Or will I have to create a new map from the original boxed set?

I find them very cool and wanted to use them with little difficulty. Now I can just brew up some fluff and rules and run a few adventures in those areas until the offical 4e DS release.
