| #1Cyber-DaveFeb 03, 2011 17:58:55 | I was wondering if someone a little more familiar with the finer details of Dark Sun might be able to help me create a menu of the type of foods likely to be sold in Tyr, both from street vendors and taverns. |

I've uploaded it to a Google site here if you would like to check it out. Some good fluff.. sites.google.com/site/mgbeach/files/Atha... |
| #3Cyber-DaveFeb 03, 2011 18:38:06 | Thank you very much! What, however, pray tell, is "mad dog" or "boone's farm"? Is that like moonshine? Also, what is Kip? |
| #4mgbeachFeb 03, 2011 18:41:23 | It's cheap, fortified wine sold at gas stations |
| #5Cyber-DaveFeb 03, 2011 18:41:49 | Neat. Thank you. As per my edit to my last post, what is Kip? |
| #6mgbeachFeb 03, 2011 18:46:59 | I actually can only infer from context, but I believe it's a 2-foot long lizard, like an iguana. Actually found another source that might help you even more.. www.angelfire.com/games2/labyrinth/extra... |
| #7Cyber-DaveFeb 03, 2011 18:57:25 | That totally rocks! Thank you so much. |
| #8BRJNFeb 04, 2011 21:29:57 | The following is brought to you courtesy of DDXP 2011: I was playing the Ashes of Athas mini-campaign and got fast food for lunch. I found something that would make a good prop for nobles' food: Wendy's Apple Pecan Chicken Salad. Try one and see why. Just to continue the theme, I wound up eating in front of the rest of my group (most of whom had Wasteland Wanderer backgrounds). And not sharing. How very noble-like behavior! ![]() Slaves and low-status laborers, of course, get to eat oatmeal. Not the maple and brown sugar flavor or the Variety Pack, mind you, but the plain kind. |
