| #1Band2Oct 10, 2008 10:53:09 | Does anyone know how to make tables in posts on the message board? It seems to remove any spaces/ tabs that I have added in the past and makes tables jumbled and difficult to read. Anyone know how to do this? Also Does anyone know how to move a post from the general Other Worlds forum to here? I am going to continue the Steal this Hook - Dark Sun posts but it currently is over in the Other Worlds general forum. Until I can figure out how to get it moved I will continue to add to the post there. |

There is also an "Ordered List" button that may be of use. As for moving posts, I would think someone needs Admin level access for that task. |

A lot of forums (or at least the forum software) tends to strip out extra spaces, so you need to experiment with tags like code to work out how to put manual spaces into posts. I've also seen talk of people copying and pasting "tab" characters from something like a wordpad or notepad file. As for moving posts, I would think someone needs Admin level access for that task. You don't need an admin. The local moderator can move threads out of their forum. But I think you need to make move requests in a specific thing, otherwise they are ignored. |

You can't do this without using something like the
tags--as you noted, the boards remove the extra spaces. But
tags will preserve the spacing of the text within them and format it in the monospace Courier New font. |
