| #1khorne37May 18, 2011 11:40:15 | My campagin thus far has included the 2E module freedom where the PC's help with a revolt that ends with the slaying of Kalak. I then ran the tomb of Damor Mador whre the PC's recovered the treasure for the new King of Tyr Tithian being that Kalak had drained the coffers. Next the PC's have gone onto Mauraders of the Dune Sea seeking revenge on House Tsalxa only to be double crossed and have the crown of dust stolen from them. From there the PC's have witnessed the Dragon of Tyr being given a sacrafice of slaves by templars of Tyr. At this point the PC's have been involved with a meeting of Tithian and Bory's in an agreement to fufill the levy for Tyr and have also agreed to kill Rikus for Tithian as he is a major political spped bump. By the time I wrap up some of these loose ends like Rikus and House Tsalxa they should be around 5th level. I have a very dynamic playing group I have a good Primal and unalig Primal an unalig Psion and an evil arcane user. There are sides in the group The Psion and the warlock are after power the Shaman and the warden are after restoring Athas. For upcoming adventures I am going to run Arcane Shadows, Revenge of the Mauraders, Beneath the Dust and at this point they should be just shy or coming up on Paragon. Then I do the two 2E super adventures Dragons Crown and Black Spine. After this I have a general idea of how I want things to go but it is very loose. They are going to find out about the 15 champions and find out that they are now the SK's. They already know about the Dark Lens due to Tithians quest for power. They will find out about the the other planes and will viist at least the astral plane. In the end I see a few of the PC's ascending to bring divine powers to my next DS camapaign. They will have an underground City State dedicated to them. However I also want to see the PC's break down and have a fight possibly to the death given the extreme alignments and goals. Is there any information that the community can add to this and give me a full flavored campaign and keep my PC's riveted and on the edge of their seats? |

I'm currently running that for my Sunday game (none of whom read the forums) and would like some followup, especially with the other two fragments of the Crown of Dust. Were they ever given official stats by WotC? I am okay with moving their locations around, but I'd like to know if they had been statted out, or if I'd have to try and create my own artifact taking hints from the Ashen Crown (from the heroic-tier Eberron-specific adventure) I want to take a couple ideas from yours, and from the other thread that hasn't been posted in for 2 months - my idea is to have them reassemble the Crown of Dust somewhere near 8th or 9th level, then trek back to the Face in the Stone at a certain point in the year, at which point it animates an avatar of Ul-Athra - basically an illithid who has the divine spark of his primordial heritage, which will open up divine characters for the Paragon tier of play. The idea is either the divine spark resonating with others, long dormant in the world, or having them be Paladins of Sand, or Clerics of Ul-Athra. |

I was going to bring Divine characters to DS as well but it was going to be in my next campagin once the current PC's ascend. I am still on the fence about bringing back Ul-Athra because I think for this campaign I am going to have my PC's battle a long dormant yet victorious Tarrasque. I have many open plot line because I am trying to get my PC's to play in a sand box and so the story will develope based on the choices they make. So far evil is the winning side. Just so you know there is also a lot of DS content in subscription 1-3 articles per month some adventures some expanded area information. I am always looking for a way to tie up this campaign and end it with a bang in epic tier. |
| #4ennervanceMay 19, 2011 13:05:56 | Yeah, I love my insider subscription - but without the compiled articles it makes it a little more difficult to easily see what has been put out for us. I'm at work so I can't check the compendium or the articles at the moment, so I'll put that off until later. My next steps are going to also involve a handful of long-hidden blue dragons; they've been gathering power and influence in the name of a merchant house, and seeking out valiant adventurers, to help them overthrow the Dragon of Tyr. The Marauders arc, where the characters are partially sponsored by House Shom, was one of those finding missions, and there may be more such work for them in the future. I'm thinking that the Crown of Dust restoring Ul-Athra and the divine spark are enough to make things unstable in the Gray, as well - I've rather wanted to throw a crashed airship, a la eberron, in the middle of the desert. The characters would then try and help repair it using available materials, either for personal gain or the idea of using it, and then are thwarted when someone else comes in to take it for themselves. The players may fight to hold them off while the airship escapes back into the Gray, or fights vfrom aboard the ship to repel the invaders and leave the plane, or fights long enough that the real forces get there (from one of the Sorceror Kings) who tries to steal it and kill everyone, possibly having the planar travel pulse of arcane magic inflict massive damage on everyone nearby as the ship self-destructs to keep it out of his hands. At least, I hope my players don't read the forums >_> |
| #5siromegaMay 19, 2011 14:48:18 | wizards.com/dnd/WorldsArchive.aspx?categ... @ennervance There's a semi-compiled list of articles, the only ones I think are missing are the Templar/Defiler Monster Themes and the one on killer plants from like 2008/09 |
| #6Raddu76May 19, 2011 23:25:52 | There's a good list that's pretty up to date here: community.wizards.com/darksunfans/wiki/I... |
