Directly from the Dungeon site

"The Vault of Darom Madar" challenges adventurers to locate an ancient treasure lost somewhere in the vast desert. The characters, however, are not the only group seeking to uncover the long-lost fortune, so the heroes must not only find the treasure but return safely with it to the gates of Tyr. "The Vault of Darom Madar" is an adventure for 1st-level characters which provides enough experience to take them to 2nd or 3rd level by the adventure’s conclusion. It also serves as a bridge between the short adventure "Sand Raiders" in the Dark Sun Campaign Setting and the separate adventure "Marauders of the Dune Sea."

It is much better than MotDS.  Blows it away in fact.

Agreed, I think (from what I know) that this module is a better introduction to Dark Sun than Marauders of the Dune Sea. I'm looking forward to running it.

Wow, one huge misspelling all over the place, Gothay instead of Guthay. Guess sometimes it's easy to spot the fan writters from the others ;)

The Moon uses the more archaic name, Guthay. The Canyon's name is more modern, Gothay.

Only a fan can say stuff like that :P.

Actually Aeryn, the article's author, responded to me when I pointed this out over at the DDI Errata forum: his old cloth map showed what looked like a O instead of a U for the canyon, from the tight printing over a rough surface.

So this will probably be changed in the final release at the end of the month.
