New to DarkSun and I need help!

My wife and I are running tandem campaigns in DS, hers is focused around bringing the gods back, either from a prison or from the dead, while mine is more treasure hunting and exploration. My group just hit level 6, hers started at 11 and has all divine characters.

I want to know more about the world in general. I have DSCG and the creature catalogue, but I see lots of talk bout world concepts that I just don't know -- the real purpose of the dragon, the existence of the god Th, a creature named Rajaat, etc. Can anybody recommend books or comics or dragon mags or whatever to help us get up to speed?

Thanks loads, I would really appreciate any help!

Sep 16, 2011 19:13:45 I don't know if they're still canon, but the Prism Pentad series by Troy Denning is a good set of novels based in Athas.

Sep 20, 2011 15:51:49 There is a mini paragraph about Rajaat in the DSCG. But yeah the best option is to get ahold of the prisim pentad series or the revisited campaign book from 2nd ed.

of course when my cousin did that our adventure kind of sucked.

He taught a bunch of people but taught his closest followers how to boost their spells with life aka Defiling. Then they went omnicidal and burned the world. Then his students turned on him and imprisoned him beyond space and time in the blaghole.

Long story short, in the Prism Pentad series, he breaks out.
